Had a great weekend on the water. Fished Lake Rico at Massassoit on Sat and kayaked a 7+ mile stretch of the Taunton river yesterday.

Took the '69 down to Boothbay by way of Wiscasset yesterday. GF made me stop at the Ford dealership so she could test drive a 6-speed Ecoboost Mustang. After she stalled it 3 times in 5 minutes I suggested that she go with an Automatic if she wanted an Ecoboost. I really think that the 6-speed would go best with the 5.0; the way it acted it seemed like it'd pair really well with something that had a little more low-end torque than the 2.3

She does 100 miles a day on the interstate, commuting to South Portland. She needs something that'll do 30+ mpg's but still get up and go when she needs it to.
If we were shopping for a Mustang for me, it'd be the 5.0, since my commute is all of 15 minutes and 11 miles.

I see. Maybe you should think about a Focus ST as well. Fun little car!

    Torque steer for days, though.

RS if you can find one.. nothing like paying mid 40's for a focus....
Don't crash it though - you won't have parts for another 3-4 months.... We couldn't even get replacement brake pads

IDK. Try one out and see

Wow that sucks. If I was thinking of one of those I would probably go for a GTI R

Sounds like my 92 Dodge Stealth. Torque steer so bad it would rip the wheel out of your hand if you weren't ready for it.

Lol, we did! That's how I know. Mash the throttle on that thing and she tries to bolt for the ditch. RWD FTW.

Edit: She's basically sold herself on the Mustang, for a lot of reasons. At this point I'm so tired of listening to her debate with herself about what she should get that I just nod and say 'uh huh' a lot, and just passively keep track of the conversation. :notsure:

Yeah I do that when I can but get bagged on a regular basis when there is a question involved.

Or when you inadvertently agree to do something without realizing it. And then a few days later whatever you agreed to isn't done. That's a pleasant conversation usually.

Or say yes to a question that they expect you to say no to
