If the lights themselves don't have a daytime running feature then it's going to be quite a bit more work to get them to function that way and have turn signals. The easiest thing would be getting rid of the daytime light and running them only as signals. That's how I did my grom.

You can either use a resistor or buy an adjustable flash relay which is the cleaner option imo

It's fine with me without daytime running. Right now they are just set up as turn signals. I'll check out this adjustable flash relay! The hyper flash doesn't bug me and might get more attention as well so I might leave it.

Also ordered some reflective white pinstripe.. Tron bike on the way!

Lets hear some opinions on the Harbor Freight trailers. I think I am giving up the idea of hauling my bike in my truck. I need the folding one, so I can fit it in my garage

Any issues with registering them? @TheMuffinMan

I bought mine from my Uncle who went through the process. Out here in Colorado he had to meet with one officer in the police force who was only available one day a week for 4 hours who inspected it (post assembly of course) but after that the county DMV issued a VIN plate for it and a license plate/title. Wasn't that annoying. I'd recommend 3/4" plywood decking it makes the trailer much more stable. I also would say 550 lbs is max load for the trailer; but it had 1/2" particle board decking from my Uncle so maybe that made it seem more flimsy.

Also for the harbor freight trailers if you don't have seal savers get some and put some marine-grade grease in the hubs which will prevent issues; the grease that comes in them from harbor freight is lacking.

For the price it's a steal. I abused the fuck out of it on dirt roads and it keep on chugging, the wheel fenders can detach with too much washboard though but I didn't miss them.

Harbor Freight says the tires are rated to 55mph but I've had mine at 70 for hours with no problems. YMMV.

Can the tires be upgraded for more? I assume a metal or wood floor can be added too..

Yeah tires can be replaced. The folding trailer doesnt come with decking; you buy it.

i personally think it's worth it to spend a little more on a better trailer. i've had a couple inexpensive utility trailers, and in shopping around there's a big quality difference when you go to a legit trailer retailer.

also, i'd be careful with the tires. last thing you want is to have a blow out on the highway and your bike to go bouncing down the road, or kill someone

    This is the truth @fatfurious2

Please don't put that beautiful bike on a junk trailer. Even a Lowes or Tractor Supply trailer is better than that harbor freight nonsense.

I use a 5x10 aluminum with wood floor Polaris trailer.

And everyone knows how much i do not like polaris, hence why the polaris stickers came off as soon as it left the retailer.

I would like a smaller m100 style, old military jeep trailer, for the work that i do now. That way the big trailer can just be the toy hauler.

I can grab a hold of the tongue with one hand a drag it all around the neighborhood. But its not as light as you think. All that wood, the wheels, tires, and axle still make it heavy, its just better balanced and more manageable

I used mine for my 950 Adventure many times. Works and folds up small. I had the cheap harbor freight tires on it and had no issues, but they can be changed out if one desires.

Perhaps the naysayers would like to donate to your trailer fund? :boink:
