What a stupid rule to begin with. "There's a recruit coming. Don't put up any decorations that might make him want to come to school there. Ya know, like a championship trophy. Being good and showing it gives you an unfair advantage at landing him over some other suckier school..."

I mean, its starting to get tough to find a place to put them......lololololol.

In all honesty, if you cant show the trophy (ies) to recruits, why give them out? Its not like the recruits didn't watch the championship game, and watch those player hoist it up.

Yeah, I don't understand some of those rules. Can the recruits not walk through the athletic complex at all? I'm certain that there are references to the championships all over the place in there. Is it trophy specific?

If you've got a national championship trophy, you should damn-well be allowed to let the kids look at it. It's (one of the reasons) why they come to a school. Let them get excited, and TOO DAMN BAD if some other school doesn't have one to show off.

    Sheesh.

Unsolicited advice... If any of you guys own a house and have a 30-year mortgage rate at 3.5% or higher, you should seriously consider refinancing right now. Treasury rates hit an all-time low on Friday and they're down even more today. I'm in the middle of a refi myself right now. I have a guy that I use that's quite good. If you're interested I'll send you his info over PM. (I'm not affiliated w/ him or his bank in any way, and I won't get a kickback or anything like that.)

They're saying 8 week rehab time. He played with a broken hand last year and he's played with a broken shoulder blade...I don't see him missing much time.

Damn, I just did a refi as the rates were starting to climb again. Slightly higher rate but can't afford to pay another closing cost to do it again. But if I had known they would go down more I'd have waited for sure. Wanted to do a 15 yr so bad but was trying to cut down monthly expenses. I was close to being able to do 15 but just wasn't going to accomplish my goal. So before anyone starts about this being non football related, I have less monthly debt now so I might go to a game or two this year. :woot:

Depending on your rate, you could end up w/o any closing costs. (NOT rolled into the mortgage... no costs at all.) Mine will end up costing me $373, but I locked back on 6/15. I could have ended up putting $600 in my pocket if I'd waited until now. Just throwing it out there.

Michigan and Notre Dame are resurrecting their football rivalry in 2018.

Both schools announced Thursday that the Wolverines and Fighting Irish would square off in the 2018 season opener on Sept. 1 in South Bend, Indiana. The return contest is set for Oct. 26, 2019, in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Michigan is abandoning a home and home with Arkansas for that game.
