As stated above, they are available for the off road. I got mine from trd dallas. Unchained's price is really good and I think I would go with his. As for the stains, I have never had an issue like that and I'm on like white vehicle number 6 in a row. Have you tried tar remover? Should come right off. White is normally very easy to keep clean.

If lacquer thinner won't touch it I can't see anything working, I've tried bug remover, tar remover, clay bar, mineral spirits.....I'm afraid it's gonna have to be painted..

I have factory (not dealer) installed OEM mud flaps.

    Your salesman is ill-informed.

I just sold a set. As long as you're buying them, get some RokBlokz, especially if you're going off the pavement. The OEM's are junk and extremely stiff. Look at my truck in my avatar pic with the mud all over the sides. That was from about a 1/2 mile trip on our county gravel road to our home. Stock mud guards with running boards. Goofed and bought the running boards since the OEM guards didn't keep the rocks from flying off the front tires. Finally bought the RokBlokz and they are very the "old" flaps like 2015 and prior. Just pulled the running boards off for now. They make getting in and out a pain if you're short and old!

Yea, if I had of thought bout it more before buying I would have gotten the RB flaps. I'll end up getting those eventually anyways. If I had the choice now I would skip the OEM and go straight to RB.

The flaps are PORT installed as I was told, not dealer installed - unless you add them after the truck hit the dealer, and not factory installed

The truck I originally was looking at was a TRD OR and had the OEM Flaps listed as a port installed accessory. Your dealer is lying.

i bought OEM flaps and installed myself on my TRDOR 68$ shipped off of ebay. they installed in less than 10 minutes with a 10mm socket.

there are both fender flare and non-flare models, just make sure you get the correct ones.

To add to this, aren't the black fender flares of the offroad exactly the same as the Sport ones except unpainted?

The parts guy at my dealership told me the same thing. They are clueless on which mud flaps to order. I ordered weather tech flaps and they fit perfectly with no issues.

Yes as long as you have the fender extenders on the truck. I was told by toyota that some trucks don't come with them. I know the sport, off road, and limited 4x4 all have them in don't know about the SR or 4x2s

OP, the only Tacomas that the mud flaps are not compatible for are the SRs and the SR5s without the appearance package. Anything that has the fender flares, including your truck, will work with the mud flaps. Your parts guy is wrong
