Here is the capped off resonator tube (attached to exhaust pipe before muffler).

Interesting read. How long did you end up making your resonator tube? Can we get a sound clip?

I have a Flow master 40 series and it sounds really good on the exterior but the induction noise is pretty loud sometimes annoying when you're trying to have a conversation. passing 40mph starts getting loud but I can't complain much I have gotten couple compliments that it sounds nice

I just told the installer to make it over 26". That URL I shared has the math formula to figure it out based on drone RPM, etc.

you sir, need a resonator pipe..it really did the trick

The truck exhaust has a deep, barely noticeable tone under normal cruising...under slight power, it is slightly louder...and under more throttle, it tells you it is there! :D

Thanks! Yeah I saw that but I just figured I'd just ask because I'm thinking of putting the same muffler on the same truck

I would try it w/o the resonator tube if he is willing to pull if off the rack after he installs the Flowmaster, and the pipes...I did not get a chance to ask my installer and I would have liked to hear it. Maybe I would have driven it like that for a little! But I am very happy with current setup, nearly imperceptible if you want it to be!

I ill measure the truck resonator tube asap and reply

I measured the resonator tube at 37". Quite long. But I am growing to love the added character it brings to the strong v6. As I said, nearly imperceptible if you want it to be.

And people look back when you are driving 3-10 mph and you give a little gas. Let's them know your behind them (many times getting them out of way) of right of way in places like parking garages and mall parking lots.

Did you swap it with the orginal 40 or the quieter delta flow 40?
I had the super 44 on my last tacoma.
Trying to decide if i should buy the same one or get a louder one.

Adding a V8 will generate the sound you're actually looking for....

I went with the original 40, imo it's perfect but for some it maybe just a little bit too loud

Being this truck has no manifolds, they should of just over us TRUE duals from factory

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    1. Why
    2. You do realize that would actually hurt performance
    3. You'd end up with smaller pipes which would be a higher frequency tone coming out of it
I'll never understand the fascination with dual exhausts... My Blackwidow exhaust blew my Flowmaster 40 away.

This truck needs turbo. Turbo and duals. And I'll be happy.

You know why I want duals? So i can run dual exits infront of the tires on either side. Why limit your freedom loving sound dispersion device to just the rear corner? It needs equal dispersion too all those around. You're discriminating to all those on your left, and that's unacceptable . This is AMERICA and we don't discriminate
