Nice setup! What kind of lift are you running and do you get any rub with the tires on your setup?

I'm not one of those guys. A properly equipped jeep will blow a Tacoma out of the water offroad.

Kind of defeats the purpose of low range.

Not saying it doesn't, but where's the "downright stupid" for someone who wanted to see where it tops out?

Was able to get out to Salida, CO 2 weeks ago to offroad, camp, hike and white water raft for a week and enjoyed every sec. Went through a few trails stock with only APEX sliders, diff breather and CB mods. I have to say the truck is very capable stock and only required 4wd in a few spots. Roads/Path varied from gravel to 18" dia. rocks. The stock skid plate came in handy a few times after quick drop offs on slippery rock. Had to lock the rear to climb some slippery rocks and drive through a snowed out trail for about 50ft to make the turn around point. Trails varied from 10-40 degree pitch and 0-30 degree roll which may have required a few changes of drawers. I'll post some pics for now but my brother is putting together a video of the trip.

Made it down to Buena Vista, CO for the July 4th weekend and enjoyed some camping and off roading. Took the truck up to 12k feet on a steep, rocky, switchback filled drive. Truck did great in 4-low with minimal slipping. Tight road, happy we did not meet anyone! Skid plate did it's job on the rocky incline and again at a water crossing. All in all, great ride with some amazing views. Loved getting out in the truck for the first off road drive!
