yeah i understand that, but being a customer and getting what i got, 100% mark up doesn't add up to what i was sent. Just seems like a poor business model.

The flat rate boxes are free. You can go to the PO and grab as many as you want. Or even request them, and they leave it at your door.

:edit: beat me to it ^^^

That's weird since it has a price on the box and I've always had to pay that price.

as others have said, i have USPS send me hundreds of boxes a month, boxes, envelops, international bags bla bla, its all free and shipped free. They even have schedule pickups if you want at your house.
Now i also agree that i hate seeing when places charge a lot for shipping, but having all that overhead sucks up a lot of money.

I hate to break it to you guys, but I guarantee the cost of that box is covered along with the shipping in the price you pay. This is this government after all. They may be careless with money, but they make damn sure we give em the right amount.

Or in OP's case, the box cost $8 and the shipping was $6.

If you take a box and use it to store stuff and never mail anything in it, then it's free ;)
Either way 100% markup on shipping isn't right.

That's the only thing I'm willing to budge on the subject. This post is keeping it 100.

Just to play devils advocate here...you agreed to pay the shipping when you bought this, right? I know I see what the shipping on my parts is when I pay for them. Your can always shop elsewhere if you get a better deal. Complaining about getting something that you clearly paid for seems utterly silly.
