you must not ship that much. flat rate boxes are probably one of the best deals out there when it comes to shipping items that fit in those boxes and that you want them there in a few days. USPS also picks up free of charge where as ups and fedex charge you that (Unless you have a corp account)
being able to ship two brake rotors across the US in a FREE box for 14 bucks is cheap

OP i know the feeling, i ordered a part for my fridge, samsung sent the wrong part and made me pay shipping for wrong part, to send it back and shipping for the correct part, thank god it was small and light weight, but a waste of $30 which is a full tank of gas!

Everytime I ship something that doesn't have prepaid shipping sticker, I use flat rate boxes. I get how they work. If it fits, it ships. You still pay for it. Boxes are made of recycled paper and cardboard. They cost pennies on the dollar.

It's the principle of profiting off shipping fees. If you pay $14 for shipping, you'd expect it to actually cost $14 or close to it. Then when it arrives, it's evident that it cost half that amount to ship. I'd be a little disappointed too.
Especially when it's a $20 bearing carrier drop...

Relatable, I refuse to buy stuff from fleabag sellers that sell a item for a cheaper list price but then charge three times as much for shipping to reallocate the funds.

the issue i have is that when you go to buy something, they dont have their site setup to figure shipping. if you want to pay via paypal you still have to enter a CC then they send you a paypal invoice a day or so later. I just want to go to their site, buy shit and pay right then. not later.

Their service and company are great and i have bought in the past, but if i can find it elsewhere for the same price or hell even a few bucks more, and i can check out and know final price then, i will buy it from them and not wheelers.
again, ok with their CS and orders, just hate how their site is setup.

and yet they smartened up and started printing USPS all over the insides as people kept taking them turning them inside out and using them for non priority. lol
