A friend's son worked in the embassy for a while and said *most* of the old iron had replacement drivetrains. Mostly Chinese/Russian diesels.

    ...^^^... I see you have a '72 Nova.

Had a chance to get a 350/350 Nova and passed on it ... I made a big mistake not buying that car.

I knew a guy who had a COPO Nova ... worth a lot today ... but he sold it much too early.

Is that a '59? I had a long bed step side Apache in the late 60's. Ugly as sin, but a great hauler.

That wheel (not the tire) is the look I hope to achieve on my 5 lug someday.............

I'd guess a '56 or a '57; in '58 and '59 they had an flatter, oval-shaped directional under the headlight instead of the round, pointed one.

Next to the Truckster? Nope. It was pretty cheesy. The paint job was almost cartoonish to give it that weather/aged look. Unless that was what they were going for whoever painted it didn't know what they were doing
yup, granny and luggage on the roof and a wally world sticker in the window

That sucks. I hate fake 'patina' paint jobs on a truck, but this stupid Rat Rod trend has meant that I've seen a lot more of them.
