2016 Tacoma Bestop Supertop

Does any one have any pictures of the Bestop Supertop on a 3rd gen Tacoma? A few for sale locally but from 2nd gen tacomas. Bestop website has the same sku # for both 2nd gen and 3rd gen but I thought the 3rd gen bed sides sit 1" taller and I dont want the soft top above the cab.

I have soft top, bestop brand i believe. It is for a 2nd gen, and I didnt like the way it fits my 3rd gen. Ill see if i can get photos uploaded.

Thanks for the pics. Yeah that sticks up way to high. Do you get issues with wind getting scoped down from the front of the soft top?

 

i drove it from dallas to amarillo with no decrease in gas mileage, no movement. I only put it on to protect stuff from the elements on a trip. its actually for sale.

 

How is it closing? I tried to put mine on and it doesn't seem to want to close. Is it possible to get a photo of the inside of the rails by the gate?

 

I think they roll down pretty flat too?

 

I sold it months ago.

 

it is very tight though. you really gotta stretch it on.

 

Mine got blown off in a terrible wind storm. Bent the bolt in the middle of front 2 clamps.
I don't think it's been redesigned for the 3rd generation tacoma and the top is a little to high if you ask me. Coupled with the enormous amount of space between the rear window and the actual topper I think made a nice pocket to catch the gusts. I don't know. Anyhow here's a pic before it blew off.

Just swapped my bestop for a softopper and am much happier with the softopper!
The bestop is not designed for the 3rd gen and it shows! The tailgate on the 2nd gen steps down while the 3rd gen is straight, this caused issues with the rear window on the bestop when installed on a 3rd gen. Plus the frame on the bestop is so flimsy it separates from the bed rails when the fabric is stretched over causing leaks.
