Has anyone with 3 inch lift or other had issues with "check traction control system" being displayed on dash? Getting my alignment done now they are looking into it but curious if anyone else has this problem after lifting

So I am running an icon stage 6 kit with 285/75 17 Toyo at2's, and yes they "fit" but I did have to do a cab mount chop and some other minor trimming. I probably could have cranked up my coil overs but I didn't want a stiffer ride nor limit my down travel. In a nutshell, you can make that size tribe fit, but it'll take more than just installing a lift

With the lift itself? Not a single complaint, very solid kit so far. Have a bout 1000 miles on it. The only negative is with the transmission not wanting to shift into 6th gear on the freeway with the bigger tires. Just patiently waiting on the logic update:boom:

So after reading this thread and lurking on many others, I am slightly torn between 2 options. I have already ordered Bilstein 5100's for all 4 corners, an Icon 1.5 progressive AAL, and a Headstrong offroad .25 inch spacer to accommodate for Taco Lean. However, I am wondering what everyone's opinions are with the OME 885 vs 887 Coil Springs! I have seen both and it seems that 885 is about a 1.5" lift whereas the 887 gives about a 2" lift with the 5100's set at 0. With the HS .25 spacer that will give a little extra lift as well. So, for a level truck or with a slight amount of stock rake, should I go with 885 or 887? It seems like it varies from truck to truck though so it may be a bit of trial and error. I have a 4x4 DCSB v6 SR5 with 265/70/17. What do you guys think?

My installer (former master tech for Toyota who has his own shop now) seemed to think mixing Bilstein shocks with OME springs wasn't really the best thing to do, so he recommended staying with the stock coils, which are actually pretty good. I kept mine at 1.75 up front with a Deaver 3 leaf mini pack in rear. Rides excellent! Why not save a couple $100 and use it elsewhere?

Over time the computer will relearn the shifting for the larger tires, it should get better but a regear is all you can do to fix it completly. Mine was pretty bad with the 34x10.5 but over time it has gotten much better.

Disconnect your battery for an hour or so. That'll reset everything and start the relearn process. It's relearn naturally also however it'll take longer.

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere inbetween the 147 pages posted in this thread. But wondering what my options are to lift my TRD OR without swapping out the current Bilstein shocks?

coil spacer up front, block or AAL in the back.

These 147 pages contain some awesome info. Well worth the read if you make the time for it. I read every page when I joined this group, just a few pages whenever I had a chance.

I have 5100s from Jet.com and OME 887s and the Icon 3-leaf AAL from Headstrong that I'll be installing on Friday. I'll report back with pictures (just don't mock my stock SR5 sneakers ). I saw somewhere during my research that 887s are recommended for Double Cab Long Bed 4x4s with no bumper or winch.

How much lift do you expect to see with this? Before and after measurements would be awesome along with pictures.

I'm expecting approx 2" in front and 1.5" in rear. I'm keeping the 5100s at 0. I noted on the install instructions that I'm writing up to take pics and measurements before and after. I like to plan, rehearse and revise my stuff ahead of time. I'm doing it myself and don't want to forget anything.

So I finally got my 5100's installed in front at the 3rd setting (1.75?) and stock rear. BFG All terrain KO2's and Method NV's go on tomorrow and it should look pretty good. Still thinking about doing 5100's in the rear along with an AAL and/or block. We'll see after wheels and tires tomorrow.

That sounds great! I have the same 5100's and Icon 3-leaf AAL ready to install and I have already ordered 885 coils but if yours turns out great with the 887 I will exchange them and go that route. I also have the 1/4inch spacer for the driver's side and I'm not sure how that will factor in. I'll definitely check back for pics/updates, good luck with the install!
