This isn't up for debate...the truck is bought, and I love it. And I got a good deal. End of discussion.

Nothing like some negative douche to try and cut down the purchase you're really excited about.

I'm with you...if it's a good deal in your mind then it's a good deal.

I'm just so sick of everyone online cutting down peoples' purchases. "You shoulda got this" "now you need to do this..." "I hate the look of those" "you paid too much"

Just be positive and happy. Christ.

I wasn't taking to you. He said he paid 8000 less for a used Honda. I was telling him you paid 3000 less.

This is the Internet. This is a specialty truck forum. This is what happens on the Internet.

    My first post...

Just paid my $500 deposit today for the following:
    2016 TRD Off-road, Double Cab/Short Box, 4x4, Auto
    Premium Technology Pkg. w/ JBL
    V6 Tow Pkg.
    Predator tube steps
    Tonneau bed cover
    Bed lights
    Tacoma bed mat
    Mud guards
    All weather floor mats
    Door Sills
TRD Oil Cap & Radiator Cap

$500 over invoice (so I'm told), puts it right at $40k with all the extras. With TTL (Texas) probably tack on another couple thousand. Good thing I'm putting 10k down.

There's no way that's $500 over invoice, look at the build/price/package cost thread. Invoice should be closer to $36k for that build I think.

Nah, figured its gonna be around till 300k, if i did not lift it with the bigger tires it may have looked a little disproportionate. Very Lucky though!

thanks for the nice words folks!

That's not a very good deal. You should be able to get it for another 1500 or 2k off. If you're happy with the deal congrats on the truck.

Depends on tax title and license, say his sales tax is 6% that's $2000 even if he got the truck price down to $33000, add title and fees that's almost $36k OTD which he is already at. So it's not a bad deal at all bud.

Great thing about me trading in my new ford is I paid next to zero TT&L, which in Texas runs at 8.25 I do believe. I know I paid stupid tax for getting rid of new truck so soon, but I'm happy and got my new Taco as pictured for 34k.

I put $500 down a month ago and was told 10 weeks. I have attached the deal Toyota gave me. I think it is good.

I paid too much compared to a lot of guys on here, but the market is ridiculous around me. Hardly none on the lots and if they are, they are all AC's or red LTD's. It wasn't worth my time and effort to fly somewhere to purchase and drive it back hundreds of miles. I ended up paying $500 under MSRP for my MGM ORDCSB non JBL and tinted windows were the only dealer addon I had to pay which I would have got done anyway. I added paint protection, remote start, and GAP. I got the exact truck I wanted in the color I wanted and my 2nd Gen was traded in with only a 170 neg equity and kept my payment within 30 bucks, so I have no regrets.
