Haha the white letters out looks the best. I hate when people black out their truck, too much black is a bad thing!

I ordered a 3 inch Rough Country lift and it arrived today which is very exciting!! Although I decided to call the dealer to make sure it wouldn't void any warranties, and the dealership said that he just replaced the power steering pump in a new Tacoma with a 3 inch lift after 5k miles and they wouldn't cover it because the lift messed it up. If you lift your truck and the lift causes something to mess up then the warranty will not cover it. He also said it is very common for a lift to mess up the power steering pump (which by the way would cost around 2k to fix!) But there is a solution, if I buy a lift from Toyota and had them install it, no matter what happens it is covered! So I will be shipping the Rough Country lift back and buying a lift from the dealership. Kind of aggrivated because the RC lift only cost $260 and the same type of lift from Toyota will cost over $900, but a lot of times you get what you pay for

Put the 17" TRD wheels with 265/70/17 KO2s (C) on yesterday. No rubbing, but it's close. Only lost maybe 1 mpg. Getting 21-23 on highway. Pretty happy with them. Doing Red Cone, Webster, Radical Hill next week, can't wait to see how these do!

Are any of you using OE flat seat lugs? Any issues?

They are the OEM Aluminum running boards. PT767-35160

Steps are for my kids. I like the overall look of the step and it protects from door dings too. But, when getting out of the truck and not using the step, I rub my leg on it every time -- Kind of annoying. I'm probably eventually switching to the predator style steps.

I think the white-letters-out setup is particularly suited for the white TRD OR trucks. Otherwise you end up with these large black holes (Flat black fender, black tires, flat black wheels) under a bright white truck. On the other colors it doesn't seem as important (leave it to preference) but I think you made the right call going white-out. If I upgrade my tires and wheels I will probably do the same thing.

I'm not sure where you live but here in the Seattle area there is a dealer that has an entire accessories department and they do all kinds of lifts. I was quoted $550 for a basic leveling kit. $799 for a revtec 3/1 system and they have options all the way up into the thousands of dollars.

The great thing about them is that they all come with a warranty and the accessories manager told me if they do the work it does't void any warranty.

When I'm ready, I'll be heading north to get this done at this dealership.

I'm sure the pro's on this site will chime in and say these lifts are crap or junk or whatever. I drive to work and back so I don't need top of the line stuff. The truck will never even see a pothole.

You can get the same thing right here in Northern California, I was quoted 550 for a leveling kit just saying:)
