That's more like it. I saw the best firework show I've ever seen..in one of the smallest town in Wyoming..haha was nuts. Synced to music and everything. Was huge. 20mins of massive explosions with front row seats. Was awesome.

Shit, 20 minutes? Is that all. My neighborhood was like Bahgdad. It was loud and continuous from about 8 until midnight. Was relentless and obnoxious.

Same story in Lander. Can blow up whatever you want in city limits and open container law in the street is lifted. The fourth here is nuts too.

Been busy back to work, but yes had a great 4th weekend! Explored Oregon buttes a bit too on the bikes with Brett and his cousin.

Good man. How did the trail look? Haven't been up it in years. Hopefully do it in August.

My 4th consisted of replacing 480v drive motor on the gear box on one of the irrigation pivots and pulling out combines getting ready for harvest. Also found out the new shop was built 6" above grade. We are forcing Morton to cover all costs to bring in crushed granite from Wyoming to fix the issue. They said "we will make it right." If they don't i believe litigation will be brought forth.

Well I suppose that's better than below grade.

Looked good. The trail was pretty much the same as it's always been. Few more wash cuts but nothing crazy. Really like that trail.

Apparently when they cemented in the pilings they didn't go the full 5ft. So now they have to bring in 200yards of crushed granite. This building was supposed to be done by now.

Talked to a couple of our tool route sales guys on Wednesday and they both confirmed that with the gas prices rising, the oil fields are slowly starting back up around Wamsutter. This is a good thing because the economy may pick up around here again, which has been sub-par lately, especially with the UW layoffs that are happening, so I'm optimistic that biz will pick up again. With the exception of Jubilee Days, town has been pretty dead this summer so far which is killing the local economy, so fingers crossed. Anyone else seen this trend around the state?

Well ag has gone in opposite direction recently. In 2013 we sold wheat for $8.06/bu
    2014 $5.50
    2015 $4.02
    Current price is $2.98

That's what I mean. WTF is going on in WY? My theory on UW not getting their grants has to do with coal and energy. The liberal gov doesn't want us on those programs anymore, so their just going to withhold funding to states on coal and fossil fuels, which filters down straight into the economy, which is not so great anyway. Laramie is bad anyway because we have the lowest wages in the state per capita, and the 2nd highest cost of living, only to Jackson, so it's always more of a struggle here anyway. It makes me wonder if I should start "farming" that property I own in CO. :rasta:

I don't think we'll see an economy boost for a while, but they are putting in new transfer stations and possibly some drilling on I-80, which may be a psychological showing, to get our hopes up, kinda like Killary and Obama taking Air Force 1 to the Carolinas to promote her presidency and using the presidential podium the other day. Gets people thinking!

There's a handful of new pads for design and certification on my desk... all northern CO though. More than we've had in the last 4 months so I'd say it's picked up a scosche. But it's gonna be a trickling faucet for a while I think.

That's where the majority of our work was/is. Doesn't seem like anyone wants to do anything until they are sure its going to sit at $50/bbl or so for a while.

Supposed to be a big wind farm going in around muddy gap I've heard. But lander riverton area is hit pretty hard from the oilfield. More so riv than lander. Lander has more gov jobs.
