Measured my truck and its 15mm but don't have a metric thread pitch gauge here at home. It's either 15x1 or 15x1.5. Hope this helps. I would guess 1.5.

I heard working nuts on/off by hand and now I'm here.

I don't know what that means, but don't judge me.

hah. I was at a very remote multi-night astronomy campout last week, and one of my fellow club members brought this bigass dual 13" telescope. yup, 13 inch diameter binoculars :-O anyways, they were built like a double-wide Dobsonian telescope, if you know what those are... they have a base board, then a azimuth half-box that pivots on a bolt, and a rockerbox that is on altitude bearings that rides on that. long story short, his azimuth bearing bolt was sticking up like 3/4" too high, and the rocker box was running into it when you tried to tilt it up more than about 45 degrees. bad juju, for the first night of a 5 night star party 100 miles from nowhere, under truly dark skies.

I dug through my toolboxes, no hacksaws, but hey, I had a 10" medium doublecut flat file in my 'misc' toolbox (also a 6" fine single cut). so... I went to work on the bolt just above the nut with the side of the file, it took about 40 minutes of filing to cut through that 3/8" bolt. took the smaller file and dressed the end, slightly rounding it, making sure the threads weren't snagged, and voila, the nut spun right off and on again, AND the big rocker box swung through its full travel! yay for hand files.

    Betts...

They made some for me on the spot about a year ago. Wasn't expecting him to come back and say, "that'll be $50", but I needed them and got em right away

thats practically my home stomping grounds. when I stopped there and asked a question about something, they told me they were Jeep only.

If you're in this area, Santa Cruz Imported Truck Service is a good basic Toyota truck shop for service and repairs when you're too lazy to do it yourself and you want it fixed right. Its a real Mom n Pop shop, Marty and Sue started it, their son Denver is the mechanic now.

mark a thread, count 10 threads, measure it in mm (or in inches, and multiply decimal inches * 25.4 mm/inch). divide 10 threads by the mm length, and get threads/mm. done.
