Thanks for the link. I always use top tier gas like PetroCanada, Shell, Esso for my Taco unless I'm about to run out of gas and have no options. The only
top tier I avoid is BP, I hate BP because of the Deepwater Horizon "accident" in the Gulf of Mexico a few years ago. So far as my
Ducati Monster, I use Shell super as it contains no ethanol.

Isn't AAA funded by those TOP TIER gasoline companies?

Its true. Put in a little seafoam in your tank every once in awhile.

Every year this news comes out for summer drive season. And then again in the winter as Winter Gas. It should be considered a paid advertorial by now.

Besides, doesn't the new atkin-otto engine take care of the carbon buildup; that could happen at mile 250k or 400k kms?

I made that mistake once on one of my cars. Fucked it up real nice. Had to find and run high-octane non-ethanol gas through the tank to clear that crap out.

i wouldn't do that w/o speaking to a certified tech.

modern fuel systems react differently to gasoline additives.

super! you should keep at it then---but this is a g3 thread and the newer 3.5L isn't the 4.0L... what does a 'little in the tank once in a while' mean to the lay person?

to me, a little once in a while is a 26'r on a Friday afternoon...

Actually I have the 2.7L in 2nd gen. Although I know this is a 3rd gen, I am still going to use seafoam.

Oh, and a little in the tank means I pretty much eyeball a 1/3 of the bottle in a 21 gallon tank per the instructions. Hope that helps

    clears it.

that 2.7L running on bbq grease and beer will outlast the sun... that's a solid engine with, or without additives.

    hope she hits 400k.

No state. In Canada. but Ontario to be specific. But if you want to find ethanol free gas use the app pure gas. Its available on android and I think apple.

I have used that app ...not worth the hour drive for non ethanol,I do get to fill up and bring some back in 5 gal cans once every 3 months when I do business in Oklahoma City where it is available all over at 10-15 cents a gal more.
