Got mine today, doesn't line up side to side and sits too high. The side to side is not the bumper, it's the truck sitting a 1/4" off center to the drivers side. Hopefully get it done tomorrow.

Mine doesn't come near the a/c line, but I have a reinforcement plate on the frame mount thats about 3/8" thick. With the bumper sitting at the correct height it would still clear without the reinforcement.

Seems the pre '12 2nd gens have better clearancing around the A/C line. Wonder ifbthe front end redesign altered anyhing as far as the condensor or high pressure goes.

I'm going to make some one piece aluminum shims in the morning. Probably make 2 1/8" and 2 1/4".

I would rather have a solid shim between the mount and bumper than stacked washers if it needs spaced

I did some looking around and couldn't find anyone that makes plates to buy. I would just go to the hardware store and get some steel and then template the frame ends and cut some out with aGrinder and drill holes for the bolts. Would be best to weld the plates to the frame ends but then you can't really go back to stock.

What issue did you have with the trim pieces? Guessing you are talking about the 2 color matched fillers below the headlights? Looks like passenger is in, is it the drivers side?

I'm guessing I will have similar issues, really not something I want to bring in a BFH for. I want to be able to return it to stock without reversing modifications.

Yea. I'm talking about the pieces below the headlights. They are rubbing on the bumper and I can't move them up because the clips that hold them are held under the steel bumper now.

I was wondering about that after I put it back together. Is the center grille still solidly locked in? I know the bottom of the grill has clips that are supposed to go on either the same brace or top of the factory bumper.

If I find anyhing tomorrow I'll post it up. It's nice this time to be able to go into it knowing what issues lie ahead rather than racing the weather and getting frustrated after abother member just mounted his in an hour and a half lol.

Center grill isn't locked in by anything on the bottom. I'm going to hold it back with some zipties. I may look and see if there is a way to fix the clips that hold the headlight pieces onto the aftermrket bumper instead of the thin metal rail that sits under the bumper.
