First time ever 4x4ing. Took the Taco up Indian Truck Trail. Nothing crazy, but had an awesome time for my first time out.

Howdy neighbor. Thanks for the compliment. I love the Inferno color. It goes well with the Yeti blue even.

went off roading over the weekend in big bear with @Z50king and my buddy Luke (hes not on Tacoma world and he drive the cruiser) the trail were great some spots were pretty sketchy (im only 2 wheel so it made it difficult in some parts) i almost hit the white car that someone left behind after getting it stuck and i almost slipped off the cliff. here are some pics of the trip. all in all i put 293 miles on the truck (culver city - santa clairita - big bear - culver city) next time ill have a go por or something else to get a good vide of trail difficulty

What were the contributing factors for almost slipping off the cliff? Do you think it was being 2wd or do you think it was more tire related? Looks like you still have the OE GYs.

I watched him almost hit that white car and almost drop into the hole and possible fall off the cliff. The one by the car was a rut at the West side of the road and the uphill side of the road was banking up the hill. The car was taking up more than half of the usuable driving line for him. He had to put his nose up on the side of the hill and the rear end just spun a little as he went and pushed down nearer to the car. The nose of these trucks is very heavy and hard to push up hill when the traction is sandy.

It did the same thing when he almost went into the hole. There was asphault on this road but it was covered in sand except for where the asphault was gone. You can see the hole here at this link. Most of he road is gone and the remaining path is very off camber and goes on the side of the hill. Not a good combo for 2wd. The locker helped keep it moving, though

Looks like a lot of fun though. I like seeing what a locked 2wd can do. Although I'd probably avoid anything that involves the possibility of going over a cliff my first few times haha.

i off road a lot so the only things that tend to scare me is deep mud and deep soft sand. if you throw in a cliff :bananadead: but the trail was still awesome and i'd do it again

There's a bunch of random places to camp in the MHNF. The first picture was near High Rock.
