Nice set up! Is the tent Tepui, or another brand? Did you use just two bed rack bars, or a full bed platofrm? Im interested in the same set up, and this is one of the better ones i've seen yet.

To help give a little more clearance and help it sit up closer to the door frames.

So I made a 900 mile journey to upstate NY yesterday. The truck did fine but it's time for the 10K mile service. I am still having anomalies out of the transmission. Occasional slipping and the hesitation from reverse to drive. I stopped by the local dealer up here and told them about the issues I've been having and that my dealership in SC has scanned the tranny and the fluid level was fine. I've seen people on here say that there dealer "manually" checked the fluid and that's when it was found to be a quart low. I told the service mgr here about that and he said "what do they mean by manually? It's a sealed transmission so it has to be scanned". So what do you guys mean by manually? I get the feeling this dealership will work with me to try and fix this.

Husband and I are both great shots (he's ret. Navy, I'm ret. LEO) but I tell him to still be careful. I have a truck, a backhoe and a bag of lime...

Ouch, ok thats it I'm gonna come clean and tell the wife guns are not cheap and neither is lifting my Taco and getting new rims and tires! After she has calmed down and only after, I will teach her to shoot and give her the extra key to the Tacoma!

What kind of grip tape did you use? Any closer shots? Been thinking about this instead of Toyota sill protectors, how do you like them so far?

    Mostly stuff I built.
The grip tape I used I got at the local skate board shop. Then I took it to a friend and had it cut to size on a vinyl cutter. Love it so far works great just be careful when wearing shorts. image.jpgimage.jpg

I've only been in the rain once since I got it and it leaked a little. I keep my truck pretty clean so I haven't had to wash it yet. I guess I'm a bad example. Overall I'm happy with it and I needed a cover that I could utilize my bed divider. If you drop the rails (like most of the covers) it makes the divider useless. I don't see how these types of covers can be totally water proof, which I didn't expect. If you need a cover that is totally water proof go with a cover that goes over the top rails.

Removing the existing one was tricky, I think my hubby broke a couple of the clips. Putting on the new one was very easy.
He noticed when we removed the grill to paint it, that that may have been the easier way to get to the existing one to remove it. The grill is so easy to remove it may save you the headache of trying to remove the existing cap if you don't want to break the clips.
