Well, got home from work today and I went to remove the Prinsu crossbars to mount the RTT for this weekend's wheelin trip and one of the bolts seized up..battery operated reciprocating saw to the rescue! Got the crossbar off but the bolt is still seized in there really bad. Tried PB blaster, blow torch, and the dremel method to cut a slit in the bolt and try to get it out with a flat head; No luck :pout:

I still have 7 good crossbars for this weekend but I will likely be ordering another one so I can keep two mounted to the bottom of the tent at all times and then just lift the tent onto the rack and tighten 8 bolts and go.

Sucks but I still have 110% faith in the roof rack down one crossbar..I think it would take a lot more than that to phase this thing..

Expect an order from me soon @zscott!

Use a bit of anti seize on the bolts and you won't have that problem again.

Im guessing you cut the bolt head off? I had an issue with one of my bolts being stuck myself. I just used a large set of channel locks and broke the bolt loose that way

    Bring it on over!

Ran into some trouble today with the power outlet in the bed..plugged everything in and went to hit the switch and the switch would not engage. Before all the smarts comments, I checked the fuses and the truck is running.

My brother @GARSHA91 has the same issue.

Anyone know what the issue is?

Only thing I can think of is that he and I did this mod a little while ago..

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-outlets-to-the-center-console-w-pics.368240/

Don't think that is it though. The switch simply does not click to engage or light up..

    :notsure:

Harder for those aged members to remember things..Where did I put my keys? where did I park? How long has it been since I modded my truck? How many times have I traded it in?

Its better when you in-laws ask and you look them dead in the eyes and say "not for a while, were just enjoying practicing for now."
