That's always an option (and a far cheaper one). I'll probably go that route if I don't get anymore feedback on the AP mounts.

I've seen your mount in the hi-lift thread before:). If I get my hands on a welder I may just do the same. How's it held up since initial install?

Bought a 14" drill bit to drill out the snapped off studs on my header. Those bastards are HARD! Bit lasted about 10seconds. Had to sharpen about 15times for a single 5/16 hole.

I just got my toytec boss coilovers for my 2001 tacoma. Be installing them Saturday. Sadly I'm going to need to keep them at stock hight or leave them at 2-2.5" lift till I get my rear suspension kit in a couple of weeks.

Anybody know much about them with 600lbs coils. I'll be getting a plate bumper and new skid plates from allprooffroad

Measure exactly how high your truck is now and try to match with new coilovers. This should keep alignment close enough till you get everything done.

Yea, just at the moment my front suspension is completely shot, coils are barely holding up and shocks are gone. Lower A-arms flat. Im going to get it realignment done after the rear is done for sure.

I didn't have an airbag switch in my 04 DC either. I thought that was odd since my 99 Toyota had a airbag switch where you could turn it off or on with your key. Then on my 06 Tacoma all you had to do was sit in the passenger seat and it could tell if someone was sitting there or not. Then the airbag would automatically shut off or come on.

Most Tacomas are a work in progress they keep a runnin' no matter their condition and many owners personalize as they continue to own

Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
I hate how my window trim looks! I'm definitely doing both the hood mod and my window trim! If you don't mind me asking. How much was it all together ?

I was going to install my own but if I'm having to drill out broken studs, it would be worth paying the $500 to have my local Offroad shop do it. I saw a video of a guy replacing one of his cylinder heads. I was watching it to see how he removed the stock exhaust manifold and he didn't have any problems...not sure if he soaked them in PB-8 or WD-40 first ?

I got the quicklift plus kit from redline. It was $89.95-$22.49(TW discount) =$67.46+$5.95 shipping. I think the Tacoma world discount is still good: taco9504 The window trim was $45.88 -3% (TW discount) for both sides from camelback with free shipping. I like both and easy install.

Yeah I guess the double cabs don't have them because they assume if you have a car seat car you're gonna put it in the back. Reg and extended cabs do bc the front seat is your only option.

no matter how long i let penetrating oil sit or how much heat i put into it i ended up breaking 3 ratchets and a load of extensions before snapping 3 out of 4 studs holding it on. i then tried welding nuts on the ends and had the whole stud glowing but it wouldnt budge. never again...

Yeah good point. I love having a 4 door cause my 6 year old daughter has her own door and a lot more room. I put a set of sliders on to protect my rockers and they also serve as a way for her to get in all by herself. It's perfect!!
