Is anyone still doing red cone on the 9th? Or is there another trail that day?

Red cone is pretty easy as I recall. Shouldn't be a problem

Why is everyone afraid of red cone. It's easier than twin cone.

It's intimidating yes, especially if your not fond of heights, but it's not that technical really.

    Que?

I have done both a least once a year for the last 7yrs and Red Cone is getting worse every year. There is one spot in the trees that washes out worse with each season. I am curious to see what it will look like this year. Also there are a couple of other rock spots now and there is always the washouts on the switchbacks. Once you get past all of that and above tree line, then yeah it's a piece of cake. Well that depends on how you like sheer drop off and a steep decent to the Webster Pass summit.

Twin Cone is point and shoot except for one rocky spot that has an easy out option on it and one loose gravel ascent.

Last year I had only 1 issue on red cone. Don't remember any washouts. Maybe it's worse now. The racks and ascent I thought were harder on twin cone. Anyway, everyone has an opinion. If it's like you say I wouldn't go with a stock truck.
