One good part of Muscle Milk is it is very low in cholesterol. I used it for a while for that reason, as one of my goals was to get off the statins.

@zacharypaul89 turned me on to the ON whey and I love it.

Amazingly no. I did that since I was a kid and stopped at age 40. My PCP was on me for a few yrs that I was borderline with my blood sugar before I stopped

When it comes to supps I'm pretty cheap. I buy based on $/serving. I usually buy Vitamin Shoppe house brand stuff (Body Tech and True Athlete). The ingredients are pretty similar to the big name stuff and it's usually half the cost.

I will say on pre I'm currently on a container of Mr. Hyde that is on/off but when it's on it's an ass kicker. Just don't think it's worth it when my scoop is a dud some days...

I've been to parties with 10+ people where 3 2 liters aren't even consumed. That's a ton of liquid, especially being such a terrible liquid. Amazed you were only "borderline"...

My wife nagged me for years and said "you're terrified of needles, if you get diabetes you won't stick yourself and you'll get sicker". In fairness she was right.

Ironically, my reward for losing 50 pounds was getting my first tat

Sounds like cardio throughout the week would really help. I put on muscle really fast, but if I am not careful, I can gain fat quickly as well. I'm basically a hybrid between a mesomorph and endomorph. Cardio for me really helps keep the pounds off. I basically live on the treadmill.

I do carb restrictions on days I'm not hitting weights. On weight days, I get a healthy portion. What's your approach?

Thanks that's good info right there!
How do I calculate macro breakdown? Is that keeping track of your intake carbs/proteins/calories? I'm not tracking anything as far as that goes except maybe my sodium intake because of high blood pressure. I'm taking potassium pills and multivitamins with potassium, hawthorne pills and omega 3 pills to try and get my diastolic pressure down. It's genetic. Go figure.

Blood pressure was another issue. They wanted me on meds, I just never took them. Right now my numbers are those of someone who never smoked and I've been smoking 28 yrs

Christ, i drink 3 cups of coffee and I'm jittery af. I usually have 1 in the morning maybe 2 but thats if i have time at home. I used to have at least 1 coke per day but I've got rid of that, I'll usually drink a sweet tea if I need a sweetness fix during the day.

Explains my caffeine immunity. I gulped down a 16 ounce Monster in front of my teammate at darts and he almost fell over..said he'd call me an ambulance. Didn't even touch me

Well with working at discount tire now, I drink 2+ gallons of water a day because I'm fucking sprinting around in a hot ass shop all day sweating like a whore in church. But I've been looking into getting some aminos here soon and the ami.no energy seems like a good candidate. Maybe put 2-3 servings in my first gallon of water a day. That'd help with energy levels as well as me depleting any and all nutrients in my body. Lol

I mix 2 scoops (one serving) in a quart Powerade Zero bottle. Start there, if it's too strong you can adjust the mix although I think you'll be good there. I usually drink 2 quarts of water and then hit another serving. On average it lasts me 3 weeks of work per jar.

I use amino energy as well. I like it. It has the benefits of BCAA's, and some caffeine, which I can dial in how much I want. I have taken other pre's and the amount of caffeine was too much for me, I was so hyper I felt like I was not in control of myself! :goingcrazy: Amino is awesome in the am for a little pep in your step.

I really like it. It tastes a lot better than pmp by GAT. Great pump, focus, energy.

I eat the same amount of carbs everyday. I wanna lose more body fat and want to try carb cycling. I feel like I could get leaner by utilizing my carbs better. How do you like it? Do you get good pumps on those refeed days?

That's exactly what it is. Several of us in here use MyFitnessPal on our phones to calculate our calories/macros each day. Eat like normal for a week or two, figure out what your numbers are. If you aren't losing weight at that number, drop calories by 250 a day for a week. If you're still not losing weight, drop another 250 a day for a week.

Losing weight is all about calories in vs calories out. There's a sweet spot where you'll maintain where you are. Anything over that and you'll gain, anything under that and you'll lose. Figure out maintenance and go from there.

Adjust your diet, eat more protein, get in the gym, lift often, lift heavy, do intervals, and you'll get to where you want. Build more muscle and burn more fat. Supposedly, for every 1 lb of muscle gained, you'll burn an additional 7-14 calories. Sooooo...get in the gym and lift heavy shit! Lol.

Yep. A friend of mine who is a personal trainer recommended the idea to me. On the days I need extra energy (weights) I have plenty of juice in the tank. I would venture to guess you have a slightly faster metabolism than me, so for me to maintain low body fat, it's essential for me to do it. Otherwise if I don't, my weight will slowly creep up.
