Im going to see tonight, ill just be happy if the hole line up. If the 2 boots are.going to touch in going to grease them and see if that does anything for the rubber on rubber contact.

Oh the 15item punch list is just to get it driveable, its probibly another 10 to wheel it. Mainly beating and hacking fenders to fit the 37s.

Good point on just getting it driveable. Leave the DS off for now. You won't like the engine noises coming thru the firewall so cut out a piece of preferably double corrugated cardboard and make that work.

I already have a Front Range Off Road firewall plate that will be going in tonight.

The DS actually fits perfectly, however yes it is being left off as that can quickly be put on next week when i go to flex test and wheel this thing.

Its going to look goofy on the 33's, but whatever!!

I only have around 2 and half inches of uptravel maybe 3 in the front. Kind of sucks but i got some rubber bumps off of a pickup at the junkyard and it works out pretty well. May drill some holes in it to make the hit a little softer but I don't normally hit them daily driving. On the trail with the truck loaded down, they hit pretty often but it's no big deal to me. One of the trade offs of having a low sas on leafs.

I got the same firewall plate as well and you'll want to use It for sure. I ripped the seal putting the shaft through and I ended up ziptying it to stop some of the noise as the engine noise is pretty loud in the cab but just means turn up the radio more.

Ive been eyeing up air bumps, or making my own version with pipe from the hardware store and kong dog toys.

Well defeated by steering and shocks tonight. My 12" 7100s were way the hell longer that i was expecting, and it took me forever to make the shock mounts and had to cut into the fender well, blah blah blah... once i got that done with it was time to attach the steering box to the column, wrestled with that for awhile, broke my clock spring, and wrestled further with the surprisingly shitty FROR firewall plate. The seal didnt fit right and didnt allow me to turn, ruined the seal getting it back out of the plate, the holes were all different sizes and not in the right place, its like they let trail gear make this batch or something. I then was grinding out my frame notch for tre clearence which took forever. On the bright side this things going to have miles of down travel!! So planning on a friday night fire up and cruise around.... hopefully!!

... I have the same firewall plate. I did get it to fit after making my own steering linkage and drilling the holes in the plate to a larger diameter.

My plan is to remove it, saw cut the seal portion and tig it in position then re-install. Bottom line is its crap. The shape doesn't match the OEM plastic plate, WTF!

My clock spring was broken as well. Toyota part # 84306-0C010 will cure it. The dealer name for the part is CABLE ASSY, STEERING. Took me 15 minutes to install.

You have entered the land or dealing with hidden issues that will arise as you move forward. Keep chuggin'.

My trail gear firewall plate was a perfect fit. Front range usually has good quality parts that's surprising!

Wrestled with that fror plate for a few hours tonight, that coupled with a late start in the garage ment it still has not left the garage. I managed to seal up the firewall with the plate, a rubber gasket sheet and a bunch of foil tape, its pretty ghetto lol. It would have been quicker to make my own in retrospect. I did start the truck after i ran the powersteering lines and filled up all the fluids felt good to hear it running after sitting on jackstands since march or april. Tomorrow i have to weld up my drivers side shock mount, cut a hole in the fender for the resi's, bleed the brakes, fill the diff, finish bleeding the powersteering and drive it!

    Great progress.
The FW plate sucks. I bought a can of Flex Seal... still need to shoot it from the engine side to seal it.

Welp the input shaft seal of the ps box blew while i was bleeding it, then i took the box apart wrong so i have a new one on order. Trucks ready to drive except for that damn box. Hopefully the new one bleeds quicker and doesnt puke its own seal out. Doing some reseach these f150 boxes are notoriously a bitch to bleed, joy. So im taking a few days off from working on this damn truck. Shocks are on so thats a plus.

I also have a banjo bolt that wont stop leaking and the bolt pops off the caliper if i tighten it down. Im getting another set of copper washers, and if that doesnt work im getting a new caliper.
