Being in high school it's a little cheaper and I've had experience working with it when we restored our fj40

Very nice fj, in that case I would go for it. Nothing wrong with some single stage. Just won't be as glossy.

That's a nice video. Can somebody please tell me if it applies to a 1998 4WD Tacoma as well as the 2005 that the video shows?

Same concept, maybe a minor change in the mounting of things but should be the same

Great! I'll save those two videos and use them if I need to replace my struts. I replaced the shocks in 2010 and oh boy it was a SOB getting the lower control arm low enough to place the bolt into the lower shock mount.

Thank you mhorton1911 and joshcook for your replies. :)

To help lower the LCA undo the sway bar, it will help alot. And also make sure you have at least one extra set of hands there to help you. For the record, I had to use a spring compressor from oreilly because I couldnt get my LCA low enough

You can loosen it just a bit since you have to get an alignment anyways

I had to do both sides at the same time. The limiting factor is the sway bar. Both sides at full droop makes it possible to get stock height shocks in with a little help from a crowbar prying down from the frame. You will need a buddy's help.

Hope to get my new lift installed in a couple weeks. I am sticking with the 32 x 11.50 BFG KM2's for now.

The wife and I are looking at an Appalachian Mountain tour from North Georgia to Northern West Virginia. We will be taking mostly National Forest Fire/ Service roads and any other backroads we can take off the interstate or highways. Check out these guys who have generated some maps to follow.

I am currently debating on what to attack next. I am actively looking for 15" wheels but am considering other more important mods. Here is a little list, let me know what would be most important before hitting some potentially difficult trails. Let me know other items I should consider as well.

    - Front Bumper and Winch
    - Sliders
    - New Seats
    - Skids

From that list I would go with sliders and skids first.

15" Wheel. Got new KM2's off craigslist. They are 32 x 11.5 R15. I am fine with more tire less wheel although some of the better looking wheels are 16"
