I have a 2015 DBL Cab 4x4 with 6 ft bed. I'd like to pickup a yard of mulch in the bed but I'm wondering if the bed and suspension can handle 800 lbs? Thx for your replies. AJ

800lbs won't be a problem. Just remember you need more time to slow down with weight in the bed.

Thanks for the replies. I did do some research yesterday on the 2016 Taco and the reported load limit is approximately 1400 lbs so I assume the 2015 is similar in rating. I think I'll go ahead and take the chance. Its a lot more economical to buy mulch by the yard than paying for bags but I didn't want to chance it if its at the expense of ruining my truck. AJ

Just last week I fit a yard of mulch into my short bed, so your long bed can do it no problem. My brand new recall springs weren't too happy and I was riding the bump stops, but it worked out ok.

    800 pounds is pretty small.

I recently had several loads of limestone screenings and paving stones to move. Did half yard of screenings in the truck bed per load (~1300 pounds), plus flatbed with ~6000 pounds of pavers on it. Yeah, technically over the limit, but did a great job of it. It was in-town low speeds, not over about 50 kph.

The bed will have no issues with the mulch. The lousy springs will complain, but not break.

The springs won't have any trouble with it at all.

Somehow, I have my doubts that you had that much in there.... they're about 3000 #/bundle. So that's roughly a bundle and a half, which would be a stack of bricks filling the bed roughly up to the truck's roof. I certainly wouldn't try that, I'd be worried it would snap the axle or something.

The wall blocks I got from Lowes are 27lbs each. 120 on a pallet= 3,240 lbs plus had 3 tubs of polymeric sand ;)
