Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Not often, most it ever hauls is dogs. I have a diesel for the big jobs though, wanted a Tacoma mainly to keep wet/muddy dogs in the back and not ruin the interior or I would've bought a 4Runner. It's also nice to have for hauling around greasy parts and other nasty things you don't want in the cab. I don't waste my time towing with the Tacoma either when there's a Powerstroke sitting right next to it. I don't like the feeling of overworking it. The diesel can handle pretty much anything I throw at it and not complain. A Tacoma with much more than 2500# on the bumper is going to be groaning pretty hard!

No groans here... Trailer+tank = 1,095lbs., + approx 4,000lbs of water = approx 5,000lbs. No problem whatsoever on flat road to 6% grade. The last 3 miles to our place is 7-10% grade, then I'm in 1st gear at 25-30mph, but no groaning.

Its not the best hauling truck but it seems to be the most profitable type of scrap wagon I've owned. Back in high school I had a 5x8 utility trailer filled with metal and stuff in the bed almost every single day. Ive had full size trucks that can haul way more than these in a single load but the purple one has hauled nearly 50 tons of metals to the yards in time that I've had it (since 09?). plus all the countless other things i use it for. Lets see if these new ones can stand the abuse the old one is still getting put through.

My Tacoma used to run around the Eagle Ford area with a 350 pound gang box in the back. It stayed in there alot too since I was site hopping.

About 1,000+ lbs of metals in each picture. The '17 has been to the scrap yard about 10 times in the 800 miles ive driven it.

Lift, armor and such. Money pit, check out the build thread...
The little truck can haul and pull pretty damn well. Wish I would have had the Dakars when I had the pallets of fruit back there!
