Wow, glad you got it back. That is some serendipity there. Stuff like that scared the crap out of me, so I bought a rubber Qalo ring that I wear camping now instead of my real one...

Yeah, was definitely a good day. Even brought a metal detector.. But didnt even need it. She found it sitting in the grass.

That's a good idea too, never thought of that.

Yeah, it is $20 for some good piece of mind. It has the added bonus of stretching to fit if your hands swell while exercising. Mostly I got it so I didn't have to worry about my ring at work (I work with a lot of tools), or having it cut off if I broke my arm mtn biking. My wife loves that I am always wearing a ring now :ballchain: :D

Interesting.. You have my attention. Lol im gonna give these a look. I too work with tools all day in a machine shop, and it is always getting snagged. It's a very basic (inexpensive) titanium ring.. For those reasons. I knew it would get beat on, not only at work, but play too. Problem is, its a little big and can't be resized, plus the fact it's a regular pipe-cut so the hard edge doesnt help at all. I just need to get a new one..

Lol! That, and like I mentioned above, they can be replaced without breaking the bank.. We knew it might be a possibility that I would lose it or damage it in some way with all the BS it would see. Lol

I can't recommend them enough to people who work with tools. The rubber ring is nice, especially when working with electrical stuff. I take mine off while working with rotating tools (mill/lathe/etc). I think there are "safety rings" designed to tear away before dislocating your fingers, but I didn't look into those much. Thus far mine has taken a lot of abuse, stood up to a lot of chemicals, and is just generally more comfortable than my regular ring. Which I now wear maybe twice a year when I pretend to be respectable at gatherings. When mine is trashed, I'll gladly fork out 20 bucks for another one.

One of the machinists where I work has a titanium ring, he's always scratching pieces and then having to polish them. lol.

I learned not to sleep in the back of my truck. The tree would have killed me if I had slept in the back of the truck.

I didn't know what had happened. At first, I thought it was tw members messing with my tent. It was 7:30am and we were all sleeping.
