My wideband is still broken, I found that I still have a small exhaust leak , the leak was horrible, I had a shop weld all the joints and they missed a spot because I can hear and feel the exhaust leak with my hand. I checked vaccum leaks and there were none, and my intake was secure as well.

The peak will need to be before your o2 sensors to cause the code you are seeing. The only possible places for those leaks will be the flanges. Any slip fit sections will be post o2 sensors

I had that code for weeks and couldn't get it to go away, went to three dealerships, two of which told me to "just take off the supercharger"

Third called in a 'Master Tech' who diagnosed it right away...there's a port on the back of the supercharger (EGR port maybe?) that had become uncapped and was creating a vacuum leak. Be sure to check any hose going into/out of your supercharger and make sure they're on tight, no leaks. Check all ports to make sure any that should be capped, are. That fixed my issue.

Afterward I did a search on here for that code and the supercharger and found at least two other people had the same exact cap fall off the same port, creating the same code. It's not uncommon. If everything looks good, then start checking for leaks in hoses or uncapped ports elsewhere in your engine bay as any vacuum leak will create a P0171/4 code.

Also, a dirty MAF sensor can throw it as well. Won't hurt to give that a cleaning (super easy to do yourself) just to see. Other less likely causes are leaks in your exhaust or a bad O2 or air/fuel sensor.

Make sure you don't use too much boost while your driving your truck with this code being on. Means you're ECU is causing your truck to run lean and that can do big damage to your engine over time, especially if you're forcing it to work even harder (boost).

I missed this post somehow. I bet you $100 that code is due to your exhaust leak.

Thanks alot, I had a bad bad leak and it wasn't throwing a code, got it welded up and it was much better and you could tell the difference, then a 100 miles worth of driving the code pops up. Ill get it fixed again and report back

I was wondering if there is a performance difference between the urd, trd, & hurst core short shifters?

All I know is that they say the urd one is tougher to get in reverse than others

Thats what i've heard. Other than that, the shortness of throw & smoothness is the same between the 3?

It looks like the afe headers lasted about a month. Cats are clogged, I'm not very suprized. Quality of the headers was good, but the catalytic converters were suspect. As I would expect them to be for the price. I would of preferred spun stainless cores like serious race cats. Now to see if they will last long enough to get back to LA from Vegas. I've already lost wot as it puts my boost to just under 12 psi

I was no cats before these. I liked the low and mid end I picked up till this happened. I'll probably go with the spec-u headers after this

Anyone know of a good set of headers that fits our trucks? Like magnaflow high flow or something? I'm contemplating Vbands on mine so I can swap them in and out as they go bad.

It started by noticing my fuel economy looking worse than usual when leaving a stop light. Then gas milage got worse. The dead giveaway was my boost numbers going thru the roof. I was building 12lbs of boost in 117 degree heat with a 2.85 pulley. The drivers side wheel well was also getting hotter than the passenger side. So I took a flir camera to my header and it was far hotter pre car than post.

I owned an exhaust shop for a while and honestly 99% of the time people think their conversation are clogged they aren't. If I wasn't working out of town, I would of ran a back pressure test and known if that was my problem or not within 5 minutes. But working 4 hours from my shop makes it tough to run over there and use my tools

I've been noticing a propane type smell occasionally. No codes. No changes in gas Consumption and boost is the same

Then it's pretty unlikely you have a clogged cat. A back pressure test is the only way to 100% confirm that, but 9/10 times it will prove to be good.
