He only makes 1 mil for the next 4 seasons so I cant see him playing those years with him turning 38 this season, so 17 mil could be a cap penalty over 1-4 years depending on when he retires, unless hes Robidas'ed on LTIR

 

Habs are a better team now with Suban gone,I did not mind the way he played, he is full of talent but he has a "me myself and I" attitude and that did not go well with the other "team players".He had no allies but Price and the late Beliveau's wife.No friends on the team. He pissed off others by being himself " Flamboyant "self.
This is hockey not Basketball,you cant win with a Lebron type in Hockey.
One player cant be bigger than the team(especially in Montreal),you need chemistry to win and he did not mix well with others.He has good intentions and did huge things for the community but management,the coach,the players and also the venerable ex gods of the past thought he was not a team player.
He had a huge contract and a no move clause starting July 1st...It was now or be stuck with him and his millions of dollar in cap hit for years to come.
With the extra space we got Radulov a much needed help on the wing and a gamble I agree.I bet he will do awesome to get a huge contract next year.

We got a tree time Norris trophy candidate and a five time all star for Suban ,not too shabby !!!
He is big ,solid and will protect our #1 asset in front of the goal,not to mention the fact that he has the most PP goals for a D last year.That will help the Habs in the PP department and he has hardest shot in the league.

Suban in Nashville will probably do ok and he will help to build the fan base(the kids love him) and he will sell a lot of jerseys but he wont bring the cup to that town.

Overall with the addition of Weber,Shaw and Radulov I think they will do good this year,hoping Price stay healthy of course LOL

Weber will cost you in the future but help you now. In the end Montreals success is still tied directly to Price. They can't win a championship with basically the same sort of roster and Radulov.

Knew bernier was moving soon. Leafs just paid his bonus so hes only owned just over 2 mil this year. Pretty decent price for him

 

Yeah I have to admit you were right but I didn't expect another two part trade. The Leafs did this with the Sharks too. Now the price on Andersen makes a lot of sense.
