So being a noob to the truck world I've been doing some mods lately. Today being the exhaust tip. I'm not a fan of chrome so I got a black tip since I plan on blacking out most the chrome. Well I thought the tip would go further in (no pun intended) but since the outlet is larger thats as far back as I can set it. Is it supposed to stick out that far? Did I get the wrong size? Just looks cheesey still being able to see the chrome IMO

That doesn't look too good IMO. The OEM chrome tip sits further in and is flush with the bed.

Yeah I was afraid of that. Don't know how I'd saw it. The outlet piece is vital to the exhaust tip to fit.

Yeah looks too goofy. The tip sits out a little too far and too much of the stock exhaust can be seen for the black tip to work.

    Just my opinion.

Any ideas what I should get to replace the tip? Should I cut off the outlet of the stock and get something that fits the inlet?

The OEM tip comes with a bushing sleeve that allows you to slide tip further in

... Or get a Magnaflow cat back - the tip is already welded on so you don't have to mess with it. FTW

You’re right in that the black looks better. However. You could consider cutting The exhaust after the axle...DCF2B4F5-4BB5-4728-81D1-BF99A954F0BD.jpg
