IDK, I just came across them and saw that one. Besides it would be a lot easier to replace that whole unit rather than trying to rebuild the one on it.

You feeling the weight back there? The Ferd did pretty well with it, even under panic stops, I never liked the Taco brakes unloaded even.

I only towed it to my parents house, so just the one time. It had no problem at all with stopping. Plus since then I had to replace the fronts and adjusted the backs, so the brakes have never felt better. Thank God the brakes went before my vacation though.

IDK how I even came across the piece but I was just thinking; why not? It's got them.

That's a LOT cheaper than I thought it would be for a complete unit. I expected the rebuild kit to be in the $100-$150 neigborhood plus whatever is required at the wheels themselves but drums are fairly simple.

Yeah drums are drums so they shouldn't be too hard unless the cylinders need replacing

Do you go wheeling at all. A lot of people get LT tires for the thicker sidewalls.

    P-rated for me...
Ordered a new spare rim as well since mine looked like it had been sitting in the ocean... 50$ for a 16x7 steelie works for me...

Also greased the driveshaft zerks... Looks like they have never been done because they all took a good amount of grease.. If anyone needs theirs greased... I bought way too much grease and will likely only use it for this purpose haha.

I'll take you up on that. I've heard the 3G trucks come from the factory with the U-joints (I think) low on grease.

If I worked there I think I would shoot myself having to say "welcome to moes" to every fatass that walks through the door.
