Unintentionally found an apparent tpms trick. Mine were broke inside original wheels and tires so I had a junkyard tire in bed with the broken sensors inside. Did this to prove to Toyota that , even with sensors separated from stems, that warning light doesn't come on. Removed tire to load up and move kid 20 miles away today. I expected the light would come on but it did not. Rode around another 10 miles tonight without sensors in truck and light did not come on either. I know my 2nd gen light would come on if I left driveway without sensors. Could be a good trick if you have summer/winter sets of tires and wheels. I am sure if I press the tpms reset button the light would come on and stay on.

Unfortunately the light will come on. I had Les Schwab break one of my sensors when they were swapping them over to my new wheels and tires (they paid for it without hesitation). Took 25 miles for the light to eventually come on, and it stayed on until it was replaced and re-initialized.

Can someone with common sense draw a picture for me why wheel spacers are bad. I'm a visual learner.

I looked at all the options for mounting the double row 20" bar and the only location which did not require hacking to much was behind the grille. However, there was a bit of trimming of the black plastic which is located at the bottom which covers a cross member. The Rigid bar mount bolted directly to the cross member and allows the most amount of light to pass through at this level. Of course I lose a bit of light but most of the 9000 lumens finds its way out! Works better then I expected.

All common sense. I'm just curious why people don't recommend them? If I buy something with more or less offset what is the difference?

Ok. You were the driving force. I'm going to buy spacers. I was just letting the other people know they have nothing to fear. I have owned multiple modified vehicle and have had no choice but to run spacers. If you take care of them they take care of you.

There is a strong difference between a spacer and a hub centric adapter. Adapter....sure, I'd run one. Hell, the ones I had on my last truck were second hand bora's and he guy before me hucked his truck with them on it. Now a spacer...that's going to decrease the amount of threads on your lugs and that's bad juju IMO. A lot of people have issues with adapters and blame the adapter because they don't believe in the power of loctite and don't torque their shit down to spec.

TL/DR; I don't see an issue with adapters, but spacers are bad.

No I really don't man. Before I start asking questions I research the forum and the internet myself. If I can't find an answer that is when I ask. There are too many people that post a queston and just wait for someone else to give them an answer instead of taking the time to help themselves.

Fish for a man and he eats for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.

Not sure what the hell your issue is with me, 2 of your 3 posts have been shots at me. If you don't like me so much hit the ignore button and you won't have to see me being a big meanie to everyone since you are so sensitive. I've been on this forum for a while now and I have helped a lot of people that have had questions.
