9:5 is a ratio not a time. Could also be expressed as 1.8:1

You made that post at 9:59 pm last night.

Pretty sure your argument in invalid, and we've confirmed it was indeed way past your bedtime. :p

Hope you're ready to wait a bit. :D I have this habit of buying shiny things that sit in the garage for a month or two before I do anything with them.

I had a good laugh watching that this morning. It all makes sense now.

In the future I'll be making sure to shake things up a little, you know, get the earth moving. YIP, YIP YIP!

Hey Brett, I might have missed it, but can you give me some info on the pre RT trails you ran? Definitely a bucket list add on.

You're going to get way more than you asked for, because I figured I might as well work on a little trip report. Good excuse to pull some of the other pictures off the camera:

Started by camping in the San Rafael Swell a bit north of Goblin Valley State Park. Woke up in the morning and climbed up the hill to check out the views:

    [IMG]IMG_0336 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    [IMG]IMG_0347 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Ran Molly's Castle Trail just outside of Goblin Valley state park, and then ran into Hanksville to gas up, and discovered Leo's broken shock. Loaded up his gear in the other trucks, and headed North to pull off on the Hahn's flat road.

    [IMG]IMG_0350 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Great view's from the first overlook before the switchbacks on the Flint Trail:

    [IMG]IMG_0355 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    [IMG]IMG_0357 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Headed down the switchbacks, and towards the Maze Overlook, with a quick stop by the Golden Stairs. On the way to the Maze Overlook:

    [IMG]IMG_0367 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Campground night one in the Maze was awesome to say the least.

    [IMG]IMG_0371 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    [IMG]IMG_0380 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Always studying my old-school paper maps:

    [IMG]IMG_0384 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    [IMG]IMG_0387 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Started day two by hiking down the Maze Overlook trail. It was quite technical and very fun. Our reward at the end:

    [IMG]IMAG0018 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Hiked back up the trail, and got going to our next destination: the doll house. En route:

    [IMG]IMG_0409 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    [IMG]IMG_0414 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Campground at Doll House one was breathtaking:

    [IMG]IMG_0423 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    Flowers everywhere:

    [IMG]IMG_0421 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

The following day we backtracked out of the doll house, and decided to check out Poision Springs roads despite the NPS saying it was impassable and this warning:

    [IMG]IMAG0020 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

Camp was made most of the way down the road, and a few of us headed up the slick rock face to check out the sunset:

    [IMG]IMG_0428 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    It was well worth it:

    [IMG]IMG_0436 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

    [IMG]IMG_0459 by brettbjorgum, on Flickr

The following day Eric and Leo headed North back through Hanksville to get his truck fixed, and James and I took the south route back to Moab exploring some new roads for both of us.

Checks out a bunch of James' pictures here: Official 2016 Rock Therapy Photo Thread.

    And Eric's video here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T21gzsIQOD0

Such a sweet trip. Now I want to go back.

Need to make this trip report into it's own thread when I feel like combining all the pictures and info.

Looks like another epic trip. I like maps too have you tried the latitude 40degree maps? Cool to see how people's documentation of these trips is evolving.
OTS but are how are your reservoirs working out in their location. I'm going to have to look back at how and where you stuck them. I didn't pay it too much attention when I saw them.

Yeah. I really enjoy these bigger, more exploitative type adventures. More about the trip and less about the technical wheeling. Just want to keep doing bigger and better trips.

Been satisfied with my NatGeo Trails Illustrated, but I'll have to check out those other maps.

Reservoirs are working good in their current location. Hoping to get them mounted to the coil bucket gussets when I get around to those.

So when can you show me around down South? I have the ability to make about any weekend this summer and fall a 3 or 4 day weekend.

Thanks for the picture. Is that the universal mount that came with the coilovers? Looks like you just screwed it to the body. Do you run wheel spacers?

Regarding getting out- except for Aug1-Aug20 I'm open to plan something. Headed up again tomorrow to dink around. All the snobby Fj summit guys will be here next week. Thinking about going do Poughkeepsie in the midst just because. The camping in San Juans is easily with 2.5 hours of choke cherry. It would be easy to plan a trip that included two nights in the mountains and one at choke cherry. I think it's about 6.5 hours to Denver from there. Of course there is fishing that can occur as well.

I'm heading up to WY the first weekend of August if Monte doesn't bail on me, and then holy cross the last weekend.

Pick a weekend in September and I'll be there.

Edit: yeah, that's the resi mount they come with. Used the self tappers to make sure it worked, and then ran a more substantial bolt to hold it. Yes on the wheel spacers for 3.25" total backspacing.

Boo,,Even in September? That sounds pretty firm.

Hopefully I can set them up the same for now. Your new wheels are sweet. I think they command a wash/wax on your truck. I've been eyeing them but my truck is so beat it'd look silly until I muffed them up some.

I know you dealt with changing your rack somewhat recently, do u recommend a brand? How bad was the install?

Unless you're going with a new OEM, stick with someone that remans old OEM racks. I've got a rack doctor, also check out CVJ. FWIW my rack doctor appears to be leaking slightly, but I'm not overly concerned about it right now.

Stay away from new racks that aren't OEM.

I was thinking the rack Doctor, seems like a great deal.. With a lifetime warranty as well. How long would u say the install?? Also what are signs of a bad rack and pinion, I'm trying to track down some front end crap..

I went with rack doctor when I did mine, it arrived fast, I got my core charge back pretty quickly.

It arrived with out the hard line connections being tight so it leaked a little until those got tightened.

Rack doctor is impossible to get ahold of of you need anything though. I emailed then a question regarding the warranty, never got an answer. Tried calling, same result.

If this one ever goes out (sounds like it could be on its way) I'm just going to spend the $on a new oem one.
