Thanks a lot for all the advice and input. It's really helped me figure this out. Inferno's post really helped make my mind up so thank you for that response.
I've decided to stick with the truck. They are definitely making the deal a little sweeter too and I was able to put $1500 cash of my down payment right back in my pocket and still have pretty close to the same payment. I was at yesterday.
    Getting that excited feeling again.

    Truly appreciate the help guys.

Hope it doesn't turn into a death trap.

Honestly I'm not too worried about it now, even after this little pulley thing.
It's a roll of the dice with any new vehicle you buy, regardless of brand.
Hell, I had a buddy drop a bundle on a Lamborghini and that thing had as many or more problems than any car I've ever seen.
Luckily it has a warranty, and it's mainly my work vehicle that will get driven MAYBE 2 days a week for the job I bought it for.

I'm happy, I'm excited, and I'll take the experience as it comes instead of getting scared. Sucks what's happening to that guy on that thread.
Texting my guy at the dealership now to make sure they check that Trans fluid before delivery.

I would tell the guy at the dealership you want to be there to watch the tech go through the manual check procedure for the Trans fluid. Otherwise they will probably plug in the tech stream and check it through the computer. Seems like others have had experience with this not being accurate on our trucks. I checked mine myself after I bought it but, would want to see it checked myself if I were you.

Wobbling pull is no big deal at all. Let them fix it and be on your way. If anything, use it as leverage for an extended warranty or something

Cool man... glad you are keeping the truck you wanted all the time...!!!
No big deal... Just wait till you get into the "real" issues" like the tranny, U bolts, U joints, dry diffs, etc, etc...
Everyone has to go through this if they want a nice new Taco...!

Very nice and congrats on your new truck, was the idler pulley just not tightened completely causing the wobble or what did it end up being ( sorry if it was already answered, i didn't read every post word for word )

The pulley itself must have been pressed together slightly crooked. they pulled it off an out on the brand new one and it was solid as a rock. My friend at the dealer told me the GM came over and tried to say maybe we were just seeing things. Tech pulled of the new one, popped on the crooked one again and it wobbled. Bolt holding it on is straight as can be, so just a faulty pulley.

They hooked me up with an extra year of Toyota care for free (now have 3 years) and i'm happy as hell.

After I took my truck for the initial test drive, I rode around to the back lot to see if they were hiding any newcomers. Came across one of the finance guys Blazing Blue Tacoma and I was really impressed. Blue is my favorite color but I rarely like it on cars, that one looks sweet. Still a little loud for my daily driver I think.

New TRD with a Hair over 1000 K on her. Bearing is on its way out on the upper driver side Idler. Wobble while idling is why I noticed, while going over all the fluids. Even without taking tension off the belt, I'm able to get fair amount of sideplay on the idler bearing just by hand. It's brother, the identical Lower passenger side idler is fine. Just the driver side has issues Starting to chew the Serpentine belt up as observed by the rubber gaunge skid marks being left on the roller. Will be giving Jimmy's a call to replace both. Will Be puitting Ident mark on Serpentine to make damn sure that is replace. See if I can get it back to be saved as spare.
