    So, I leave the office to get in the truck, fire it up and the check engine light and the trac off light come on and stay on. I drive right down the road to visit a friend at the hospital and notice the extreme lack of power. What the heck? Anybody have any idea? Mass air flow20160708_201032.jpg sensor or something?

    Most auto parts stores do it free. Loss of power could be alot of things from MAF to your cars everything in between

    No problem...I'll try to respond once you post up the codes if I know anything about it. Most of the time tacoma only trigger a few codes.

    Lets see if my magic hat is working. A 2012 Tacoma with 48K Miles.

    Just a guess, but Code will be P2440 and / or P2442 for the Air Injection Pump Valves stuck.

    This is becoming a trend...

    Air injection pump and valves, very common on the 12 tacomas. There are a couple posts on here with this same issue. Everyday it seems another couple trucks show up on here with this same issue.
