what's up tw. New to the site and have a quick question. I'm in the market for some new tires looking to go w a 285 75 16. I have kmc wheels with 4.5 back spacing and 0 offset and a toytec 2 inch spacer lift. Not to concerned with doing a little wheel well trimming but I don't want to rub my ucas. Whats your opinion on this before I order. Thanks in advanced! Here's a picture of the truck.

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, just not to tech savvy and still learning to figure out how to navigate this site still.

I'm no tacoma expert, but from what I've read I think you'll rub on your frame with that amount of back spacing/offset. Some people do with 265/75/16. The width is what limits you.
Search around, lots of info here

youl probably want to run some wheel spacers. it will "clear" the uca but its close enough that it can rub in certain situations. Itl rub the frame a little too.

Cant go wrong with spidertrax but as long as their hubcentric you shouldn't have any worries

Pending the tires sidewall you should be fine. I've ran 4.5 bs on my old 4Runner (same front end) and I didn't have any issues with the UCA. Granted I used AT's and a very aggressive MT (Toyo/Nitto) might have bigger sidewall lugs but should clear. You will have to do some trimming to the pinch weld (back of the fender lining) and possible front bumper but I never rubbed the frame with stock UCA's and that BS.

Side lugs on my 11.5" wide mts show signs of rubbing the uca and it does rub the frame at full lock. That 1/4" or so could have made the difference.

I rubbed more with 4.5 BS & wheel spacers than just the 4.5 wheels. It will increase your wheel turning radius and push the back of the tire closer to the rear outer edge of the front fenders. My 3.5 BS wheels and 285's needed a lot more trimming that just 4.5.

I would just go with the tires first and see if you need spacers. I can almost guarantee you will be fine without them.

Like I said MT's are the exception, most AT's have smaller sidewall lugs and tread depth. I ran BFG AT's and Hankooks AT's on 4.5 bs with no frame or UCA rub.

Or be safe and pick up these and see if you need them. If you don't you'll lose maybe $10 by reselling. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2-sets-of-spidertrax-spacer-1-25-150.440365/
