Just had 5lb of refrigerant dumped into my ac for the house. Hopefully that resolves the issue. At least I had the new kind so it was only 30$ a lb.

House already is cooling faster as it dropped 3° in 45 min and its peak time for heat upstairs.

By the way, I have a 608 Universal and I am a low temp mechanic. Did they leak check the unit? Typical system charge on a heat pump is between 5-10 lbs depending on line set length and size of unit. That is a lot of 410a to lose.

15 lbs estimate and a 10 year old unit. Said a leak down test may not be needed. No freezing on the coils everything else is normal. Come spring ill do a tune up and check the system again. If its low, then ill do the leak down. This is what was suggested at least. Im going to watch it over the next few weeks. If it drops in performance ill call them back.

If you need help, PM me, I have a Leak Detector that would help speed up the process. Who likes being the attic, even during fall?

So I'm at a kids birthday party and realized the closest thing I'll ever come to being a God would be the man in charge of the rope connected to the piñata.

*proceeds to sip his beer just a little longer *
