I've been working 4 hours to get one bushing off my UCA's. Hopefully now that I got one done, the other 3 will be much faster. Still have to put the new bushings in also.

Thanks man! I love the ride and of course the looks. It's at the shop now getting an alignment. Those kings are going to be awesome!

Icon coil overs, Light Racing UCAs. Removing the second bushing wasn't as bad as the first. Just didn't want to cut into the UCA. Putting them in is easy. Need to run to the parts store and see if I can find some red and tacky to grease the ball joints a little.

Had to replace my main House AC condensor fan this morning. Bearing went out in it. That slowed me down a bit.

Hopefully icon packs everything you need. The new bushings came with some grease to put between the bushing and inner bushing. Other than that, nothing extra needed. Btw, I put my driver side back in from the front. Couldn't get the head of the bolt past the fuel lines. I'll decide on the passenger side tonight. About to eat lunch and tackle that side.

I have Dave's carrier. It didn't fit properly on his truck. Looks like the driveshaft is different. I haven't installed it yet, but serious about fixing all my squeaks and vibs at the moment so I will hopefully do it soon.

Btw, I'm getting to old for this shit. So...

Free mechanic skill class tonight at my house! Tonight we will be going over the proper method to remove bushings from upper control arms. Plenty of hands on opportunities! Limited space available, first come first serve.

    It'e really not difficult.

    1. Mark everything. Front/back/center connections, so you know how they go back.

    2. Park on level surface and put truck in neutral.

    3. Unbolt carrier, front of driveshaft, and rear of driveshaft. Having a second set of hands to help you drop it is helpful.

    4. Pull your center Ujoint. I used a socket that fit the end of the ujoint and tapped it out. After taking the clips off of course.

    5. Remove the nut holding the Ujoint ear bracket on.

    6. Use a flat head screw driver and hammer to lightly tap around the carrier until it unseats from the shaft.

    7. Install new bearing and reverse the list.

There are lists of different adjustments people tried to get the shaft straight in the GB thread. I found that installing it normally caused mush worse vibration then stock.

So does this Alabama group have meet ups? Look at each other's trucks, learn what others have done, etc? Just asking, saw where there was a meet up in Georgia.

These are used only 10k miles and new everything else, got a hell of a deal on them. Maybe i can just look on icons website and see what they normally include for grease. I havent done much research on installing these yet, I wasnt planning on finding these ha
Yes! we need to do one asap!
