    Good Morning 50's!

Gotta finish up my 3/4 done truck projects today.

"I have a bunch of easy or partially done projects on the truck that need to get finished the next couple days in preparation for July 29 Toyota Takeover:"

    1. Electrical - Blue Seas fuse box from aux battery. Need to penetrate firewall to bring 6AWG into cab. - waiting for 100 AMP Bussman Breaker- All parts arrived NEED TO FINISH TODAY
    2. ABS Kill Switch Mod - hopefully my switch arrives today - Switch arrived. NEED TO FINISH TODAY
    3. Cobra 75 WXST CB Radio - antenna and coax already done last week. Need to finish CB unit install and connect to the new fuse box - still need to solder connector to coax cable, connect to power, install mic holder, SWR it. DONE!
    4. ARB Portable air - already installed into an old pistol case. Waiting for Amazon parts deliveries for plumbing.Got most of my parts. Still waiting for Milton Hi Flow female air connector. DONE!
    5. Get the ST-Maxx 255's mounted onto my wheels. Mounted Friday, on my way home and the steering wheel violently shakes and shimmys at 40 mph. Found out that the tire pressures were 55-60 psi and the the lug nut torque's were over 100 ft-lbs. Damn. Why can't these tire shops do it right the first time? Went back yesterday to get them rebalanced and an alignment. Alignment still feels off. Had 8 oz of Dynabeads intsalled per tire and then had them removed after the shimmy and shake. Now they are re-mounted, balanced and runs nice! DONE!
    6. Adjust spare tire infrastructure under truck to allow the larger tires. Took 3 hours over 2 days. It was a SOB to take the four bolts off the tire hoist. Needed to go to Sears to get 6 point 12 mm wrench and 12 mm ratcheting wrench. PB Blaster and cheater bar helped a lot. DONE!
    7. Tailpipe chop while I'm underneath the truck. Done!

Yesterday, I had to install an over the range Microwave, Gas Range, Dishwasher and Refrigerator. I didn't want to do any any heavy lifting, so I had the appliances delivered, uncrated/unboxed in the kitchen area and the old stuff hauled away.

I didn't want to pay the absurdly expensive installation cost, so I installed them myself. Gas line (range), water line (fridge), water and drain lines (dishwasher). Easy-peasy, except I had to redo the electrical for the microwave and the dishwasher since the connections were non-code hardwired with wire nuts.

    I got a ton of stuff done on my days off Fri and Sat though none of it was what I would have really rather been doing . Dentist , Vet for the dog my appt isn't for a few weeks, house work, laundry assorted mundane stuff then sat was food shopping, errands , home put it all up cut the grass straighten the shop a little and yeah I was done. I have several projects for the truck and a few for the camper before I go on vacation soon but not soon enough :{

Glad you were able to get the tars rolling good Lloyd. Sounds like the beads didn't work. Post a picture of the tires if you can. Awesome build. Thanks.

Morning all, 15 hour drive, rolled in about 2200 last night, tired as hell from sitting all day yesterday.

That is just odd. Why does this shit happen?

Nice Lloyd. There is a hole above the foot parking brake, that I always use, a wire coat hanger with a wire taped to it, will punch through the rubber seal and stay sealed. Have fun.

    Good morning all!

Raining here too, was planning on shooting sporting clays this morning but canceled due to thunderstorms. Something about holding iron in your hands and lightning....

Been getting back into the 16 ga. guns lately and have picked up a few, I missed playing the trombone and like the old Ithaca pumps. They are a bargain compared to most new shotguns.

Yep it is the waiting that is the hardest part. 1949 M37 field grade, have almost a month into it now. Hopefully one more top coat and I'm done except for glass bedding the neck and fitting a new age appropriate Ithaca Sunburst recoil pad.

Just stained the neck. Wait till tomorrow.
Using tung finish on top coat. Put two on the body. Wait 24 hours. Not as shiny as I want. Light sand with 600 tomorrow and add another. I didn't want to use poly as this is kinda suppose to look beat up so I was not super careful with glue over run. Stain won't stick. So it looks real weathered. But I do want to seal it so wax on wax off grasshopper. I have no patience. A body and paint man will never be on my resume. I make things and assemble. Not sand and rub and coat and sand and rub and coat. So this is agony......
    Looks very nice...

Hard wood doesn't like stain. It will only change color so much. So this is a one coat neck. Tried 3 in a hidden spot. No difference.
