Hey brother, thanks! After about a month or so, the ride is awesome (as well as the look of course LOL). No complaints whatsoever! It's actually not level but still has a little rake (which I'm definitely cool with).

In regards to the nerfs, I don't notice any dings so I guess they are preventing any other car doors hitting them! HAHA.

Your truck looks awesome as well, brother. Hey btw, if you're on FB, please join my group and invite friends!

Thanks man! I love bird hunting.. I'm not building an 'overland' truck, I'm building my 'Upland' hunting truck, lol.
He's my meat head. Almost 90lb GSP.

Good in the field. You'd think for his size he'd wear out- right ah no...... He's got more gears than any dog I've had before..

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it!
I'm seriously thinking about the nerf bars... might pull the trigger this week. Which ones are you running?

And that's so sick you created that group. I just clicked the join button ! can't wait to meet other people in SD !

I actually had everything at The Truck Shop and he ordered the nerf bars for me. They're the NFab ones. Highly recommend ;-). And welcome to the SD Tacoma club! LOL I'd like it to grow so we can all share stuff, sell stuff, etc. :)

Installed my Bilstein 5100s, OME 887s, and Icon 3-leaf AAL yesterday. Here are pre- and post-install hub to fender measurements and some pics. I need to get a full truck picture still. Taking it in for an alignment tomorrow. Next up:TIRES!
    Notes:
-Front Bilsteins are set at 0.
-I was a rebel and left the overload leaf in the rear (against Icon's recommendation).
-I had to grind/cut a rear leaf spring clamp on the factory pack and the front aligning bracket on the overload to fit the AAL.
-The truck had full tank of gas and I installed the Headstrong 1/4" spacer on the drivers side.
-Lastly, I used the "no spring compressor" installation method, which was really easy and perfectly safe.

    Pre-install hub to fender:
    DF 20.75" PF 21"
    DR 21" PR 22"

    Post-install hub to fender:
    DF 23.75" PF 23.75"
    DR 24" DF 24.25"
    * will measure again once everything settles*

Do you have the part number of the new coil/shocks top mounting plates? I can't find them. I'll be installing all the same parts.

I was looking into getting a diff drop kit, cv angles look a little harsh. I figured it's cheap and easy to install, can correct the problem. Why do you say opposite? This is my first Tacoma, still learning. :)

I'm running 887 with Bils set at 0

lots of helpful information here that I'm trying to sort out

let me ask a simple question: if one were to only get 4 Bilstein 5100s and set the front to .85, would that effect any lift at all? does anyone do this?

Yes your front will be lifted .85 (1inch or so).

The rear 5100 shocks are just replacements. They do not lift the rear at all. The front 5100s are adjustable height.

And yes, it's very popular here.

Oh ok I understand now. I was thinking the same about the clearance, but I didn't know it would make it hard for aftermarket skids (which I think I will get a nice relentless fab aluminum one day) to fit. Thanks Josh!

@0uTkAsT I'm thinking that the skid plate on the 2017 Pro may work as a replacement without any modification. Your thoughts?
