I ran M/S 2's on my 4Runner for several years and never had an issue.

Are you enjoying retirement? ... I have a buddy now who is an instructor at Rucker ... helping him now with his wife's VA claim.

I believe this is a different tire entirely. Similar, but not the same.

Sale is over now, but once in a great while (like every 18 months) Costco emails its executive members (if you sign up for email offers) a coupon for an additional $60 off on top of the normal $70. Mine gets installed tomorrow :)

My Last set of Michelin LTX AT/2s lasted me 95,000 miles with 5000 mile tire rotation. Great tire.

Just curious-- have any of you played around with tire pressures in your Defenders lately? Where are you all settling? Any new thoughts/comments?

It's been quiet in here for awhile.

Ended up getting the LT265/75/16's on the DCSB today.

Been running the Cooper STMaxx's for over 34,000 miles (still at 50% tread left sitting in the garage) and decided a more ride friendly tire was needed as I don't wheel the truck much anymore. In fact the most I'll purposely see these days is gravel roads at the range or random farm trails at the property.

I did a down and back trip to Atlanta from Nashville earlier this week and decided the hum and ride of the Coopers was coming to an end. After riding with a coworker who has a T4R with the Defender LTX's I was shocked at the ride.

Nothing against the Coopers - they have been amazing tires - but are overkill for my current driving needs (still look badass). In fact I went to buy the Cooper ATP's today but was able to get a $70 rebate and hooked up with the friends / family rate at discount (essentially the certificates for replacement were free) on the Michelins. The sales guy more or less said for a truck that sees 90% highway and 10% gravel / dirt out of necessity that you couldn't beat the Defenders.

That said the ride this afternoon on the way home was nothing short of amazing. I've actually been able to hear NEW sounds that the ST Maxx's covered up with their road noise  but all is well. I'm going to get out here in a while and get on the interstate and put some speed on them to see how they handle at 75mph.

Most importantly I REALLY hope my MPG improves. Going from a 54lb tire to a 45lb tire should see some improvement or so I tell myself.

    good thread here.

ETA: What PSI is everyone running these at? Mine are set at 36 at the moment and being a Load E - I kind of want to run em at 40 (like I did my Coopers) to get the best MPG out of them.

I have an 03' Tacoma TRD and an 07' 4Runner 4X4 and the LTX A/T2s are the only tires I run. I have over 35K on the set on my Tacoma and they still look great..

This is a test re-post. For some reason I'm not seeing most of the pics on this site lately. Anybody know why my pics won't attach like they used to ?

Well photobucket.com broke most links unless you pay like 300$ a year from them to be 3rd party shareable thru a hot link. So maybe that's why

...^^^... The 2018 Limited now comes standard in SET Cartel area with LTX MS2's ... almost the same tire as a Defender.

FWIW ... I put new, Costco on sale, Defenders on my 2016 SR5 at 17,000 miles, now at 21,000 miles, and they made a huge difference as always.

Here is my third gen with defenders in LT265/75/16 in load range E. I really like these tires - good wear, quiet, and excellent traction/stability in most on road conditions.
