I love sports cars but will never own one because just like everyone else I need a bed. Always going to depot and using the bed for one thing or another. However, dropping the supercharger in gave me the best of both worlds as I can now zip around with plenty of horse power giving me my sports car fill.

I hunt and once in a while haul stuff. My wife insisted on the limited because of the ride, its kind of mushy not firm like the off road.

I went without a pickup truck from 2009-2015 for the first time in my life. I got by with a sedan and a utility trailer and that worked for a long time.

But my hauling and towing needs increased to the point that I bought my Tacoma last year. I kept the car for commuting.

Same here! All these fancy big trucks and my little first gen 5 lug is out-trucking them.

I haul a trailer with my lawn mower 1 to 4 times a month depending on the season to mow my dad's acre. I randomly seem to be hauling something in the bed relatively often. Tree limbs, trash, grass, tools, poison, fertilizer, furniture, lumber, etc

Yeah! You can always tell when folks don't use their truck like a truck. To be honest, the only time I wouldn't use a truck as a truck is if I got my hands on a really nice 79 Toyota pickup. That's my dream truck. I'd be restoring it.

Mine is 95% work commuter, 5% toy hauler. Just like the 4 or 5 other personal vehicles that i've owned the past 30+ years. I keep 'em long, work 'em hard, put them away wet, and drag 'em to the junkyard when they are done.

    I don't off-road. Not unless someone runs me off-road.

A 4+ passenger car is wasted on me. I don't have passengers 99.95% of the time. I also can't really throw a 50+ year old greasy and rusty old barn-rescue into the back seat of a passenger car, and ATV's certainly look funny perched on top of a roof of a car. I got no room for a toy trailer.

I bought my base 5-lug slug fully knowing it's limitations - as it was, it was versatile enough for me and my lifestyle. It was also a base to personalize for long-term ownership. Just enough truck to get 'er done, where a car would definitely not do.

My 2014 DCLB is the all around vehicle; daily driver, hauling (kids, motorcycle, camping, dirt, etc), comfy long tripster, fishing rig...

I use mine as a bit of both. Now I'll be going back to college, so it'll be more of a car than truck, but summer time its used as a hauler more than car for camping trips and yard work around the house and towing toys occasionally.

I use mine for whatever I need it for. This includes hunting (yea 4wd), light off roading/exploring, but also for travel as it is my newest vehicle. Of course it is used for daily commutes, trips to the local grocery, home improvement, and landscape stores.

I have added a camper shell which is great for enclosed items such as luggage, tools, etc., but lost some utility for riding lawn mowers, and other tall, bulky items. The good news is that I rarely need to transport these and have access to a utility trailer.

The Tacoma does a great job of towing my 18' center console bay boat but is small enough to fit inside my garage along with my wife's Yukon.

Have to say the Tacoma does all of the above with no fuss and bother making it an ideal vehicle for me.

I have zero need for a Tacoma. Zero. My previous car was perfect for my "needs"- a 2015 Honda Fit. Sunroof, enough of space inside for 99.999% or the time and 45 mpg.

That said, mid life crisis hit, and I was torn between an 18 year old girlfriend and a Civic Si or a Tacoma. Well, I'm fat and bald, so the 18 year old was out. The civic was fun, but, well, I would have killed myself in short time driving like a buffoon. Self control is not my strong suit.

I have always wanted a Tacoma, and finally decided that I do so much for other people, I was going to do something for myself. Getting one was not the smartest thing I've ever done, but it was the best. I usually get a new car every year, I have zero interest in trading mine in. Love her to pieces.

I love to keep mine clean. I have a heartattack every time I get/find a scratch on it. I like to cruise on the highways and try my hand at the v8s on the roads.
I also like to drive down to the beach and romp in the sand, some. I like to drive up and down gravel/unpaved mountain roads and get to places most vehicles don't even try to get to.

She and I get along very well.
