Ball joint or uniball?

Never ever ever grease a uniball. You can use the dry teflon but never grease.

 

When installing the new bushings which you should if you bought them off of someone used. You need to get bushing grease from energy suspenion. It is a pre lube then follow the instructions on greasing the zerk fittings once it is all tightened down

 

I'm a nissan owner, but I rode with a few of you guys a couple years ago when my truck was stock. I just put a small 2-1.5in lift with 285/75/16 Duratracs, along with camber/caster bolts, but i'm having a hard time finding anyone in b'ham that will do an alignment for me. I have called Southern Off Off Road, and they said they could get me in on Tuesday. Do you guys know of anyone closer to b'ham that will work on modified trucks?

 

We have a 4Wheel Parts down the road from southern offroad now. Will also require an appointment though.

Hey man, yes, still have the truck. Still an extreme noob at off-road--just haven't had the time to learn much. Finally got around to lifting and putting bigger/better tires on, so i'd like get out on a few trails that I can learn a thing or two on. Thinking about spending a weekend up in Talladega wheeling and camping just to break me in a little.

I can't remember, did you have to bend any metal or cut the bolt to swap yours?

 

Did not have to cut the bolt, have to bend the pinch weld slightly to get the bolt out though. Not bad at all. With Brian's guidance...and somebody else (matt?) it was really easy.

 

Ok sweet. I can't wait to get these installed!

 

Since you're part of the front end modified crew now you may have to help me put my King's on haha.

 

we could knockout your King's and my UCAs.

 

and I've got a snorkel coming in soon....lol so much to do!!
