Better than pandora? Is it free with prime, or at an additional cost?

Had a really good session at the gym today. New PR for bench, my strength is increasing quickly. :muscleflexing: Pushed it so hard, I couldn't do any cardio afterwards :pout: I'll just get some in tomorrow.

If you have prime it is free, just like their tv/movie streaming app...

I like it better than Pandora bc it doesn't have commercials/ads. It's the only thing I listen to on my phone anymore. You can listen to "stations" like Pandora, or playlist made by other people, or make your own. You can also just pull up an album or songs by artist and listen to them that way. I usually just listen to Eric Church radio (unless I'm lifting, then it's Childish Gambino or some EDM) but when a new album comes out from someone I like I'll pull it up, age it to "my music" and listen to it for a few days until I get tired of it...

Nice. Can you customize stations like you can on pandora?

You can thumb up and thumb down if that's what you mean.
The only big difference IMO is that on Pandora you can type in any artist or song and it "creates" the station for you, where Amazon has a list of stations to choose from (example Eric Church - it plays his music and everything similar, just like Pandora would if you created an Eric Church station). It's just a list to choose from instead of typing his name. There have been a few instances where the artist I was looking for wasn't on the Amazon list but someone similar was so it played the same music (but in that instance you could also just pull up all the albums from that artist and listen to whatever you wanted from them instead).

Edit: on the thumb up thumb down - there is no limit, you can thumb down and skip as much as you want. You can also rewind and go back and listen to a song again. Can't do that with Pandora, can only go to the next song and hope it plays something again

So suggestions. I got a new white board to put in the bedroom that I'm gonna start a daily/weekly log of body weight, body fat%, and body measurements. Do you think weekly would be better, or maybe go monthly?

The reason I'm about to start this is I'm almost to the point of starting my first bulk. Honestly no freaking clue what to even do there. Thinking same foods I already eat but I'm larger more frequent quantities. Also don't even know what to shoot for. 10,20,30 lbs then cut down again?

Weekly at the most. Definitely not daily. You'll get discouraged if you do it daily. Same day, same time of day every time you do it.

As far as goals go, that's for you to decide. I always have a goal weight in mind before a certain date.

Went to the local nutrition shop to get some bcaa's and you can check your bf for free when you buy something. It was one of those scales where they pulse electric signals from your hands and feet and check the current flow through your body. As of this afternoon I am 171.1 pounds, at 6'0 and 11.1% bf. Not too bad, I want 9% though. Also got a free shirt since my purchase was $50, so that was cool too. Lol

What is your opinion as well as others on eating back your excercise calories when I do start this bulk? Obviously my workouts will be more intense with little cardio a week I was thinking while I'm trying to gain maybe instead 30-45 min daily like I do now. Drop to 10 minutes warm up 10 min cool down or once a week go run a few miles. Of course I will always have the bike out weather permitting.

You have to eat more calories than you burn if you want to add weight...so I would think you'd have to eat back your workout calories :notsure:

Eat more than you burn. That simple.

When I start my next bulk, I'm going to try a 500 calorie surplus, but still do intervals to burn fat. I'm going to try to stay as lean as possible during this next one...get big while being lean, then the cut will be easier.

Well I know I was all balls out about going to the gym 8days in a row before I leave for Vegas on Thursday. I made it through 4 (yesterday) but skipped today. But today was not a wasted day. I woke up at 5:30am to take my wife to the airport (she went to Vegas ahead of me). Came home and napped from about 6:45-9:45 and then my neighbor and I took the paddle boards out for 90min (exact. We left the ramp at 10:47 and got back off at 12:17). I got home and decided I wanted my boards in the garage (they were in my crawl space, which I hate going in). So I cleaned and rearranged my garage so they would fit. I finished at 5:15 :bananadead:. I then went and played ultimate frisbee for an hour and now I'm currently writing this from a coffin because I'm dead.

I'll double up shoulders with another day this week so I still hit everything twice before I leave. Sort of still hitting my goal :notsure:

So let me see if I understand l. My bmr at 6'4" says 2500 calories. I go to the gym and I destroy a workout and run for a mile so I expend another 800 calories at the gym. So by the time I go to bed I should consume 3800 calories?
