You'll recall you're the one who described your own behavior. You know, the begging part.

Hopefully you'll man up some day and let that little boy stuff go.

Exactly why I got a 2016. Used prices were just plain nuts, not to mention dealing with the owners...

Only child? Bet you are. One day you'll understand, not a jealous thing, it's how you teach. Hell I can afford to buy my daughter the same truck, but won't even though she is the top horse rider in the entire country at 18 years old at her current level, which is one step behind the world competition.

Haha I didn't mean for it to sound like I am a whinny brat. I try to be very polite to everybody but that kind of aggravated me. And tell your daughter nice job! That takes skill

Edit: Short version of long story... my father bought a 1980 VW Rabbit pickup (smoking diesel) for me at 16. Not the pickup I wanted at the time and nowhere near new, but I wouldn't change a thing.

I am pondering keeping the 2016 for the long run as my son loves it. I may just keep it around for him to use when he finally gets old enough.

Sorry off the topic, but goddamn, Heck, my first car was a 59 chevy I had to pay for myself and couldn't get till I was 18. House rules. Cost $260 of my hard earned bucks working minimum wage job $1.40/hr. Unbelievable what parents buy their kids today, and for what again? all A's??? How the times they are a changin'. I had the money to buy my daughter a car when she was 16, but I didn't. She needed to learn to earn.
Enjoy your truck OP. No jealously here, just amazement yet again.

This has been my experience in buying/selling Toyota Trucks since the eighties.
The best price I have ever bought at was a leftover model year 2006 DC 4x4 SR5 with Tow & an oem bed mat for $24500 OTD in March 2007.
I traded that truck after 5 years at 75k for $18k never doing anything to it but gas and a set of tires.
The best price I have ever sold one for was my 1995 for 10 years/250k sold it for $5k to a friend.
The damn thing is still on the road today.
My experience is either someone really wants your truck for tasteful mods (color is everything including interior) or ....
the buyers are as savvy as you or want Toyota reliability at the lowest price (of course who doesn't).
My 2006 Impulse Red with taupe interior no one wanted.. I can't tell you how many people looked at it.
So, to me, resale is the market driven with consideration given to model, color and mods.
The book is a guide & I can claim all sorts of numbers my truck is worth but until someone shows me the money is a whole different ballgame.
I believe the numbers @usafwx stated are pretty dead on.
I also know I'd rather pay a few extra dollars (ok probably a couple of thousand), for a new truck knowing what has been done to it & by who.
So to answer the OP's question, I would say take the percentages usafwx stated for a ballpark number.

The dealer might try to sell it close to 33K. I was seeing 13s for almost the much last summer.

This. Toyota has an army of ANALysts calculating future depreciation. They will give better estimates than random forum posts.

That truck will definitely be over 30K in two years.
