Since day one of owning my 2016, I have has a plastic rattle noise coming from behind the glove box. I finally narrowed it down to the cabin air filter housing, but I can't seem to get rid of the rattle sound...
Anyone else notice this on theirs and was able to fix it?

Warranty? Especially now that you found it for them.

I was having the exact same issue with mine when I bought the truck. Plastic rattling noise coming from the glove box. Ended up being that plastic shelf divider/tray in the glove box. It clips into the bottom of the glove box and was not clipped in properly.

Just curious....did anyone here do an extensive drive with someone from dealership riding along with them before taking your new ride home? The last Toyota I bought in 2013 the dealer wanted me to do a drive to be sure I was comfortable with how things operated with the truck and to make sure there was nothing that needed to be addressed before I took it home.We went on a 45 min drive which included highways bumpy back roads etc.....I guess they were being proactive with any potential problems that might arise.

Wow a 45 minute drive with a car salesman.... ohhh ummm thats goona get some butt hurt.. I'd probably rather get my finger nails pulled out.

My sales guy was getting on my last nerve and we hadn't even gotten out of the dealer lot! I'm pretty easy going and mellow. The dude never stopped talking.

I had to interrupt and I only said 3 words... "I'll take it"

I did a fairly long test drive with the salesman before delivery, probably 20 miles or so. The reason I did not notice the rattle in the dash was I live in Chicago and bought the truck in south western Indiana. It was a several hours drive for me to get the truck I wanted. We did the test drive and I did not notice the rattle in the glove box. Small towns in Indiana apparently take care of the roads much better than they do here in Chicago. It wasn't until I got the truck home and started going down some of the pothole filled Chicago roads that I noticed the rattle in the glove box.

IIRC someone on the 3rd Gen forum found the issue to be a wiring harness loose and rattling up against one of the interior sides behind the glove box/dash. May want to pull out the glove box (like cabin air filter remove process) and then check around back there for wiring harness or cable up against the side of the plastic.
