    Get a real transmission? lol

Maybe check the fluid when cold and top it off. If that doesn't work you could try flushing it?

I hear doing trans fluid flushes is bad because it sometimes messes up the trans. A fluid change wouldn't be bad though

It's all a crap shoot. I know a lot who had zero issues after a flush with high miles and some who have had to replace after because it dislodged some gunk. I would just do a drain and full on a higher mileage transmission that hasn't gotten any previous service. But that's me.

So pretty much what I said but with more detail. Thanks for the update. Couldn't remember why people had issues

All I know about auto trans is that they scare me. Way easier to mess them up :goingcrazy:

With off-roading I hated my manual. It's fun for sports cars but I'll take an auto in something non sports car.

I'm going to top it off it off in the next couple of days. If that doesn't work I'm stealing your 5-speed and SC

I'll agree with you there. I like it when I'm on snow or when I used to go fast offroad, but when I'm doing a hard trail I hated it. Will always give more props to someone that does a hard trail in a manual though :burnrubber:

I miss wheeling with a manual. But I'm weird though

Yeah I'm weird that way too. I just have my occational moment where I'm like "Fuck this! Why did I have to get a stick?!" Definitely missing it right now though

At least they aren't sealed transmissions, like the new tacomas...

To each their own. Heading forward a manual transmission will be the best antitheft device out there...

Well I will be in Santa Fe till Friday so I guess I cant stop you. lol

I will be camping near Jennings Creek in the next few weeks if you are around/have time off. I want to base out to climb Tabeguache.

If I get this transmission issue figured out I might be down. Keep me updated

Always check/ top off with trans at operating temp. And that doesn't mean that you idle in the driveway until coolant is warm... must drive to get the fluid in the trans moving. Best bet usually to just drive it to the parts store and then adjust in their parking lot. Also if you spill anything its not on your driveway lol

I checked it after a short drive on the highway and it was below the cold line. I'll make sure to do a short drive and get her warmed up before I add some. I'm crossing fingers this is the issue
