.180 wall DOM tube welded to the frame in 4 spots on each side...

These are Tigerfan's pics of his custom sliders. I want to get some just like this but I can't seem to find anyone who makes them. If you know of someone who makes these, please let me know the contact info, and price if you can.

    Thanks

I saw the first pic and laughed and said "hey I think that is tigerfan's truck" then read the post. I have never seen any like that, probably can only get a custom set made.

I've seen sliders like these on a few different trucks. Some of them were on craigslist and the other was tigerfan's. So I'm kinda led to beleive that somebody produces them. But maybe those tacoma owners all had the same idea and got them custom made, so it might be a common great idea.

I've never seen them offered for sale, but I'm sure Beefed Taco (see vendor section) could make some for ya.

youre going to be hardpressed to find that xcab protection on a production set of sliders

the slider part is very similar in design as many major brands of sliders with just a few differences (slight)

your best bet if you want a hoop is to talk to someone local to you (that you can have your truck in their shop) and get them to build you a 1-off set

or learn to weld and notch tube

also...if i had to do it over again i'd probably NOT get the cab protection as ive never used it...the sliders themselves have taken plenty of hits...but those have never even been touched...

and theyre kind of gaudy and dumb looking after having to look at them for 2 years

ps...my hoops were designed specifically to flow with my rear bumper and my plans were to eventually turn it into the base for a full exo cage...

A 9 hour drive is a bit much for me. Hahaha. Do you have any recomendations for fab shops?

the fabricators i have dealt with and know, will want the truck to do the measurements on... they would want to do the install and fabrication 100% in their control to ensure they are done right...

for production sliders that can be shipped, Jason Demello at Demello Offroad comes to mind, but his quality comes at a price that you would need to discuss with your wallet...

Brian aka Beefed Taco is another great fabricator who comes to mind that can ship to you as well...

All Pro Offroad is another great resource...

Revenge Fab in Oregon ships out too...

Thanks. I sent brian a PM about some sliders but I'm waiting for a reply still. I have heard that revengefab is kinda sketchy due to a group buy mishap... What's your opinion on that?

group buys r always a hassle... if u play ur cards right u can get a better deal one on one...

if the vendor does not initiate the group buy offer, it sometimes feels like they oblige the buy to appease the group...

Damn. Ok. Well thanks for eveyone's input. I'll start looking around for local fab shops. If I find something and go though with it, I'll be sure to post pics and info.
