The road grows over quickly in spots.

Entrance to the trough, it appears to have been blocked off, I didn't see any signage though, could be leftover crap from a recovery.

Part of the original trail, which you can still drive, next to the bypass, which just cuts right thru the middle of the whole thing anyway.

That black speck, right in the center where the trees meet the grass, that's a moose.

It was about 8:00 pm Friday night when we started this run.

I stopped to take a pic of something else, and the truck had some resistance when I went to go again

Lilly pad covered lake in the middle of that grass.

If you squint just right, just to the left of center, where the grass meets the trees, is that moose again, from the other side of the lake.

Friday night campsite. Camera has a light enhancing feature, it was actually damn near dark out.

Saturday morning, lake just below our camp.

It's thick with grass. Damn mosquitoes in this area were the size of pterodactyls and twice as hungry.

Re-spooling winch cable after he snarled it up removing a tree from the trail the night before.

    View across the road.

    And back on the trail.
Just one after another for water crossings.

    The elk love this shit.

2nd tree we had to remove.

I cut it up with my chainsaw, don't tell the FS, I don't have official training for this sort of thing.

    Saturday camp site.

    Elk burgers.

And the end of that section of trail. The last puddle came over the hood, I was not going fast at all.

and water in the air box.

This is the one right here, this is the stuff that hydro locked engines are made of.

    The end.

This picture from the last page gives me the impression it will be several weeks before Webster is clear.

Hard to see Radical hill on there, but it looks like it will be a while too.

Yeah, just saw that too. Here is the Radical description:

7/10/16 - Not open, still drifted shut- big drift by cabin and also on first tight switchback- at least another week. I live close to trail and probably won't try it for at least two weeks- that much snow.

My guess is a lot longer. I stood in there and couldn't touch the peak of the snow. This is the top of Webster, possibly a hiker created trench?

Over 15' deep if you ask me. the bottom of the trench has to be at least 5' over the ground.

edit: that path follows the downhill side of the road, almost over the edge of the road really.

Radical hill was pretty socked in by snow at two points in the switchback just before the crazy left turn before the summit. Webster might not open for a while if this drift doesn't get some serious sun!!!

if i remember right these were the two spots that will keep radical hill closed for a bit too.

edit to my photo which has radical hill a bit more zoomed in, a couple people were looking at it with binoculars

Last minute run the other day of Mill/Miller Creek.

Getting my flex on. Rear fender and bumper got more massaging on the way off the rock, as if they dont have enough already.
